This is by far the worst Bob documentary I have ever seen. There is no new material in this movie, the two people making commmentary about bob, obviously did not know him well. The maker of this DVD got two guys off the street, made some backdrop pictures of BOB and got some old material to put together this DVD.Please save your money. It is not worth it. Watch Time will Tell over and over or wait for something new from Tuff Gong.
"Time Will Tell" is easily the best film every made about Bob Marley February 9, 2009 Brian Walker 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Time Will Tell I'm not sure why the reviews below are on this page, because they're about other films. "Time Will Tell" contains some of the best concert footage ever, dramatic history on Bob's life and times in Jamaica, and absolutely incredible interview footage with Bob. It was made by people who totally understood who he was and who are artists in the editing booth. Beautiful beginning, exquisite ending, and everything in between is first-rate. This is the film I show to people who think Bob Marley was a stoner with a guitar. They leave understanding that he was a prophet of love of the highest order. Not to be missed.
Not Too Bad February 4, 2004 Judah Rule the Heart ya Know (USA) 7 out of 11 found this review helpful
Some nice interviews. By far the interview segment w/ Bob in Canada is worth the fairly cheap price tag alone. This is the most we have seen of this interview in any Marley documentary. If you collect everything released with Bob's name on it-grab it. If you are searching for your first Bob DVD, your better off with 'The Bob Marley Story-Caribbean Nights' or Time Will Tell. But always remember, if it's Bob in can't be all that bad.
Land of Look Behind July 25, 2006 Laura Walker (usa) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I loved it! I especially liked the piece where the priest at Marley's funeral "rapped" about Bob. Although some of the footage made me sad (the scenes about some of the poverty stricken areas of Jamaica)all in all this was a beautiful film. There were also great musical performaces. I highly recommend this film to any Bob fan.
