Growing Up March 25, 2008 G. Maher (Concrete Jungle, USA) I got this bc I remembered seeing it in the theaters when I was a short-stop. Rest in Peace Big. I really do miss your influence.
Great footage! October 11, 2007 Freddie Washington When this hit the streets, I had it on LASER DISC! When you get it...turn it up! You can't possibly get the full experience without the volume turned up!
The best hip hop documentary ever... November 30, 1999 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This film shows you the up & coming rap stars around that time, but it also pays due respect to the older artists who pioneered the rap game. Great concert footage & great interviews. The segment w/ Wu-Tang Clan is classic.

Boring and not much insight. Just a rap film, nothing about the true culture of hip-hop. Some decent preformances, but if you want to really get the real, check out Rhyme & Reason.
