Their best video offering ever. March 16, 2007 M. D. Fonseca (Thunder) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
You simply won't get a better performance by Priest recorded on video. This is the real deal, Priest at their best. The guitar attack of Tipton and Downing is amazing, the sound is great, Halford is also singing like never and the set list is very good. You can't get wrong with this one.
Good classic show April 6, 2006 M. Barrows 12 out of 16 found this review helpful
This is the show that was broadcast on MTV in the 80's. It was shot in Memphis, TN (I was there) and is a good document of Priest from that era. Well shot with multiple cameras and good sound. It's already been released in the Metalogy box set, but if you don't have that, it's worth buying now that it's available on it's own.
Priest at their best! January 30, 2007 Laurence G. D'alberti (Red Bluff, CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This DVD captures Judas Priest at their best. My brother and I caught them live in Toronto Canada for their 1984 tour (still have the original concert stubs!) A must have for any Judas Priest fan. Just ordered Electric Eye DVD from Amazon.com. My brother bought it brand new and called me to tell me it is awesome!

You don't have this DVD yet ? What are you waiting for ? If you're JP fan, you'll be paralysed when you see one of the most spectacular heavy metal performance. Sound is perfect, no more than 5 or 6 cameras that show us complete stage, artists, audience in very rare shots. I've never seen any other DVD like this and I'm heavy metal/punk rock fan for almost 30 years. I bought all DVD from JP, but this one is the jewel of collection.

Another glorious chapter in the career of Judas Priest is covered here, and what a concert it is! Originally released as a home video, this concert was recorded in Memphis on December of 1982 during Priest's Screaming for Vengeance world tour. Watching such a spectacle makes younger people like the writer that we had been born earlier to be able to have experienced the `80s Metal revolution. Priest plays the usual song list here, but you'll also find songs that you don't normally see played live like "Bloodstone", "Sinner", "Desert Plains", "Diamonds and Rust"(played in full, not the weaker acoustic version), and "Devil's Child". This is simply a great classic concert, which showcases Priest at their peak. Now if only there was an Unleashed in the East concert somewhere out there....
