Product Description This rare documentary explores the early days of The Beatles with rare interviews, newsreels, press conferences and TV appearances. This celebration of Beatlemania presents a candid look at the Fab Four detailing their thoughts of fame, the screaming fans and the media's fascination with their hair. The Beatles are charming, honest and clever throughout this insightful documentary film. Highlights include the Beatles' first trip to America, behind-the-scenes of A Hard Day's Night and their hysterical appearance on a British TV show performing Shakepeare, presented in color for the first time!

A Must for Fans December 4, 2008 Teresa Anson (Michigan, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Beatles Explosion is a behind the scenes documentary of the rise and continued success of the Beatles. Some of the material the hardcore fan is likely to have seen before, but quite a bit of it is relatively unique to this feature, and consequently should be of interest to anyone with more than a passing curiosity in the Beatles. One thing worth a special mention is the inclusion of a colorized clip of the Fab Four performing a melodramatic (to great humor) interpretation of Shakespeare on a British TV program, something that I guarantee American audiences haven't seen before and something that is certainly worth picking up! All in all, a solid package for all of us living on that yellow submarine.
