Duets Of Proportions October 30, 2003 Michael Kerner (Brooklyn, New York U.S.A.) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
For George Michael, his actual time with Sony had some ups and downs, but it seems to also be the case with some surprises with his fans. One was him coming out that he was gay, and the other was a surprise duet with Elton John. Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me, was never issued on any of George's records until 1998, and the same for Elton John's Duets in 1993. Still, the performance was absolutely worth a lifetime. It is just hard to imagine the feeling of the music that they both have made, but beautiful. I know that the single was recently reissued, as part of a special series Sony made of classic hit songs and singles. Still, if you can't this beautiful single, try getting the two records, Elton John Duets or Ladies & Gentlemen, The Best Of George Michael.
This is one of the most powerfully emotive duets ever. November 23, 2007 Adrian the Complex Lonely (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This song is a great example of superb artistry. Powerful, heartfelt lyrics and emotive vocal belting. Elton John is a great artist but I respect George Michael's flashy gay ways even more so. Both men are gay but GM is the epitome of gay. Do you remember his videos? Faith, Anyone? Love, love, love, LOVED it. 5.5 stars.
Fantastic single January 8, 2009 Morgan Befly (San Francisco, CA) I bought this single because it includes the Back to Reality remix of Freedom, which I love. As a fan of George Michael, Neneh Cherry, and Soul II Soul, it's a remix I enjoy.
cool EP July 28, 2003 mistermaxxx@yahoo.com (usa) I got this as a Gift 10 years back&still dig it.George Michael is a Very Talented Artist when he allows Himself to talk through His Music use distractions to take over.I enjoyed the Re-Makes&also His Voice&Vibe work well with what is presented here. His SOul 11 Soul Re-Mix for "Freedom 90" is tight.
