Natalie's best album to me! September 19, 2004 Preston (nc) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I still say that Everlasting is Natalie Cole's best album. It shows her at her highest form long before the Unforgettable mega success and multiple Grammys. I still like the aggressive Jump Start. For starters, it could summarize what she had gone through in her hiatus, what with the substance problems she had before, just a jump start on her life back in 1987. Other songs I like are The Urge to Merge, In My Reality, Split Decision and I'm the One, I Live For Your Love as well as her reading of When I Fall in Love. I still love her version of Pink Cadillac, though they made a remix of it in 1988 that should have been on the album. But this is a very superb album with an emphasis on a live band on most of the songs. I have played this album the most out of Natalie's albums. Her finest and best collection to date!
Just a good album February 19, 2005 Soulful Sistah (Baltimore. Maryland) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was introduced to this album when I was about 12 or so....I've been looking for it for such a while now...It's my favorite by N.C. The track that brings back such fond memories is "When I Fall In Love"....OMG....The version on the Stardust album is NO MATCH for this song.....

this is a great cole release w/"jump start" and "i live for your love" being key cuts...also check out "urge to merge" and "when i fall in love" and "split decision". this is a great album for dancing and listening with a glass of wine. enjoy!
Best music from Natalie in years. May 28, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Everlasting reminds the listener of the power and range Natalie showed on her first album. From the modern day groove of 'Jump start', to the slow tempo of 'When I Fall in Love', she sells each song as if it were her last. This CD is a most have for any true Natalie Cole fan.
Part fun...Part romantic...Part nostalgic...a nice mix. April 19, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A friend lent me the CD to listen to several years ago. I really enjoyed the fast songs, but one song, "More Than The Stars" really caught my ear. So much so, in fact, that it was the song that my wife and I requested for our "first dance" at our wedding reception. It was nice. :-)
