| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com If Sandler had shelved about half the material on this bloated 75-minute disc, he would have done the listener a big favor. At times, the relentless, one-note routines actually work. Sandler gets plenty of mileage out of fart after fart on "The Hypnotist." And every time the wise guys on "Respect" mumble that word, the funnier it gets. But too many skits go on forever. Lacking dramatic shape, they just hammer away at worn-out riffs. The five "Excited Southerner" tracks could certainly have been dumped. Sandler and his cowriters apparently think that the excited Southerner's stutter is enough to make these bits funny. Besides the dozen-plus comic routines, the disc contains seven songs, five of which feature full-blown musical productions and L.A. studio musicians. The standout number is "The Chanukah Song," one of two live recordings that feature a solo Sandler accompanying himself on guitar. --Fred Cisterna

HIS BEST HANDS DOWN February 25, 2000 Adam (Newton, Massachusetts United States) 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
All across the board the songs are classics, the goat, ode to my car, mr bako, dip doodle, respect and the chanukah song. You name it, he did it. The only not-up-to-par spots are some of the excited southerner bits, and the one-joke hypnotist. Still, this is his best, if you like adam sandler but dont know which cd of his, pick this one! DO NOT PICK Stan and Judy's Kid, it is not quite up to his standards. The other two are solid also. Buy it. Im done.
Even funnier than They're All Gonna Laugh At You March 2, 2006 Krystyn Lobsinger (Michigan) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Goat is one of the funniest skits I have ever heard and no matter how many times I hear it, it leaves me in tears of laughter. Also of note on the Album: "Mr. Bake-O" "Steve Polycronopolous" "What the Hell Happened To Me"
Funny Stuff December 27, 1999 Brett (Ohio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is funny stuff. Not as stomach hurting funny as "They're All Gonna Laugh At You.", this one has some changes. There are more songs, and Adam like the 'f' word, (especially in "The Goat"!) All in all very funny, especially "The Hannukah Song" "Whitey" "Ode To My Car" and "The Goat." A little too many 'f's' but it's too funny to pass up. This was his last superior CD, before blowing it with "What's Your Name" and only slightly reviving with "Stan and Judy's Kid."
This CD is hella-funny! October 19, 1999 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I like this CD a lot. If I'm in a bad mood and need a laugh, all I need to do is pop in this CD. My favorite songs are "Crazy Love"& "Mr. Bake-O", and my fave skits are "The Goat", "The Adventures of Cow" and "Sex or Weight lifting". "The Hypnotist" is kinda drawn-out and nasty, though. I'd recommend this CD to anyone who likes humor like Adam's.
Not Enough Songs October 14, 1999 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Don't get me wrong...I'm a big Adam Sandler fan. The coolest skits are "Do it for Mama," "The Goat," "Sex or Weightlifting," and "The Hypnotist." The best songs were the classics- "Ode to my Car," "The Chanakuh Song," and "Steve Polychronopolous." The Excited Southerner series was a bit hard to understand and I don't like the song "What the hell happened to me," but other than that, it was cool. Also, check out "Memory Lane."
