We love being bad cause it feels so good August 1, 2003 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is a great soundtrack from a great movie. Half of the songs are "oldies" and the other half are new songs recorded for the movie. Some of the new songs are covers of old songs and some are new compositions. They all wonderfully capture the feel of early to mid 50s music. The songs are in a nice variety of styles, including corny pop, doo wop, rockabilly and r & b. As for the "oldies" included here, they are terrific. They are great songs that are not very well known. These aren't the same old songs that you hear on oldies stations every day. Songs like "Nosey Joe", "Bad Boy", "I'm So Young" and "Rubber Biscuit" should have been hits back in the day, but they weren't. Now these great rare songs are available for your listening pleasure. See the movie, then buy the album.
Songs left out July 20, 2004 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Why do they do this? They take an outstanding movie with outstanding songs and then leave some of the best ones off the soundtrack. This is so infuriating! The song "Gee" by the Crows was so integral to the movie they gave that scene over two minutes, yet it was left off the soundtrack. To make matters worse, not only was "The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane" by the Whiffles left off the soudtrack, it was cut from the released version of the movie. This was by far the best version I have ever heard of this song. Thank God the USA station includes it in their version. This is why I only give this soundtrack three instead of five stars. Can you imagine "American Graffiti" with half of its songs missing? Simply criminal.

This is a great movie, there are a few great songs that didn't make the soundtrack. One is 'Cadillacs and Women' by Doc Stark, and one that people keep thinking is "love that girl", its actually called 'Gee' by the 'Crows'. I hope that helps.
This album rocks! August 18, 2000 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I am so in love with the movie and couldn't wait to get the cd you will not be dissapointed, the album contains ever single song from the movie, unlike other movies that short you a song or two from the soundtrack. but this album rocks and vocals on it are devilish and wonderful! you will love this album.

The USA cable network version of the movie has a few extra scenes, including two extra songs, "Chicken" and "The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane" and "Lay That Pistol Down" dance number.
