1 out of 5 stars I TOTAL AGREE...QUITE POSSIBLY THE WORST OF REBA!   September 14, 2005

O.K., maybe saying its the worst of Reba is carrying it a little too far. THe title track is reminiscent of her "traditional" phase which I prefer to the "awful" music she has been making since. This CD fails on all counts!

1 out of 5 stars MAKE ME PUKE, PLEASE!!   September 5, 2005

I give this CD one star for the title track. It went downhill after that and I agree with the one star reviews previous that this is just more of Ms. McEntire's attempts to become a pop star. Its fine to expand one's horizons but to compromise yourself and your integrity the way she did with this CD is beyond reproach. Unfortunately, the masses today like this kind of "bubblegum pop". With her twangy syllables that stretch out into five or six syllables for one word, McEntire is out of her league here. She's got a voice that is made for "traditional" country....not this garbage. One of the ugliest CDs I ever heard in my life. Each track got worse and worse as I listened. I wanted to puke after it was all over. Rumor Has It that she left country....and they were right! I never bought another CD of hers again. I never will!!

This is the first Reba McEntire tape I had ever listened to.. I really love this tape.. I love listening to Fancy with the volume on full (I hope my neighbours like country)..

    5 out of 5 stars One of Reba's best   June 12, 1998

Reba's vocals on this album outshine any other. 'Climb that Mountain High' (inspired by the movie 'Tremors' which Reba co-starred in) is great. My absolute favorites from the album are 'Rumour has it' and 'You Lie'. It is said that it took two singers to reach the vocal heights that Reba did in making this song. 'Waitin' for the Deal to go down' is an upbeat, catchy song about a woman waiting to get an engagement ring from someone who is not about to go that far ! 'You Remember Me' is a sad song about a break up. A break up is a hard thing to handle, but Reba's voice seems to be saying that she knows all about it. Another unforgettable song is 'Fancy' a song about a young girl abandoned by her mother into a life of prostitution, but the girl makes the best of it and turns her life around. Along with 'This Picture' (a song about breaking up and ridding the house of all photos); 'Now you tell me (now that there's somebody new)' about a lover who comes back just as she's settling into a new life and 'Fallin' out of love' a song about starting over; this makes it the most played album in my collection.

For any country fan it is a must !!!

1 out of 5 stars I SHOULD HAVE BEEN WARNED BY THE COVER.....   September 15, 2005

When I first heard the title track to this, before I bought the CD, I thought, Wow....Reba has come back to singing "real" country music. So I went out and bought the CD. Then the sad reality set in. This CD is no more country than a yankee raised in the Bronx of New York. Worst still, the songs (except for the title track) are simply terrible. When I saw the cover of the CD with Reba all decked out sophisticatedly in a hat a red flag should immediately have gone up and stopped me from wasting my money on a poor excuse for country music.
