This is the best of the handfull of Helios Creed recordings I have. This alblum is consitant and good from beginning to end. As usual the vocals are difficult to relate to any human language, and intense distortions layer this alblum.

This Helios is the best so far, and includes tracks recorded with ex-Butthole Surfer Jeff Pinkus on bass as well as ex-Pain Teen drummer. Also look for Daddy Longhead and Honky for other new releases from these two guest stars on this fantastic album.

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe this solo effort by Helios Creed came out around the same time as the reunited Chrome had put out 'Tidal Forces' (see my review) on the same label as well. Really good late '90's industrial alternative to soak in. Tracks here I dug the most are "Frustration", the in-your-face "Blood Mantra", "Pure L.S.Q.", the heavy two-minute bit "Pissing On The Produce" and the disc's eight-minute closer "Space Fire Water". Basically, if you have at least three or four other Helios Creed / Chrome titles, you will most likely get as much out of 'Activated Condition' as I did. A good pick.
