Amongst the tracksare the previously unreleased songs 'Paint The Sky With Stars', 'Only If' & 'Willow On The Waters', three great B- sides and all of her hits. If You Love Enya as much as I do ----- January 20, 2000 Linda Petersen (Temecula, CA) 25 out of 26 found this review helpful
Purchase this boxed set. It may cost a little more in the end, but it is worth it! I don't like to buy cd's and then have music repeated on other albums by the same artist. It aggravates me. So here it is folks. This boxed set has all the songs from "Paint the Sky with Stars: The Best of Enya"! It contains all the songs on "The Memory of Trees" except for one song, "Once You Had Gold". It has all the songs on it from "Shepherd Moons" except for the song, "How Can I Keep from Singing" and it has all but two songs from the album, "Watermark". They are "The Long Ships" and "Storms in Africa II". The one album that seemed to be poorly represented is "The Celts". So my recommendation is to purchase this boxed set and then buy the album, "The Celts". I regret that I didn't do this. When you love a musician as much as I love Enya, it would have made sense to buy her collection of music.
Enya at her Best! October 21, 2002 M. E. Newell (Marietta, Georgia, United States) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
"Box of Dreams" by Enya is one the best box set that I have ever seen. Besides the great music by the artist, this box set includes a lovely book to go with it. A MUST for any fan of Enya!
An excellent 3 CD collection of Enya material August 5, 1998 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This compilation, available only in Europe at the present time, features three CDs of previously released materials. To American audiences, certain tracks may be unfamiliar, including "Willow on the Water," "Oriel Window," and "Eclipse," although all of these have appeared as bonus tracks on previous single releases, mostly internationally. The 3 CDs are titled "Oceans," "Clouds," and "Stars." Oceans focuses on most of her up-tempo material, including Orinoco Flow, Only If (which appears on the best of album "Paint the Sky with Stars"), and Anywhere Is. Clouds are her piano pieces, and is perhaps the most beautiful of the three. Clouds, in particular, captures the relaxing essence which has made Enya so widely popular. Stars features pieces like "Paint the Sky with Stars" and "Eclipse," both of which center on "celestial themes." This collection does not feature ! all of her tracks, but the ones that have been chosen are undoubtedly her most popular and accessible. Even those who already own all of Enya's releases will want to consider this collection, as each CD is nicely balanced. This would also be an excellent gift for a Enya fan who would like to complete their collection.
very, very good August 20, 1999 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
An excellent introduction to Enya's work. The sequencing of the tracks (that is, not mixing the uptempo with the slow tracks) makes this my favorite Enya collection. Only one complaint: what happened to "How Can I Keep From Singing?"; considering it was released as a single, I thought it belonged here. Oh, well...
The Longships is included on Box Of Dreams July 26, 2000 Mr. (USA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I just wanted to quickly say that the below review written by Linda Peterson states that the Watermark track, The Longships, is not included on Box Of Dreams when in fact it is listed as track 12 on CD 1 of this box set. Happy Listening!
