5 out of 5 stars play dead -bjork   September 4, 2001

This quick-paced yet ballad-like song is intriguing and different in a time when pop, heavy metal, and rap seem to dominate the music scene. Bjork's powerful voice is an extreme relief when you can't take any more of the same old useless songs about shallow love and heartbreak that won't last a day. The lyrics are poetry, simply speaking, and Bjork conveys them with a clear purpose and interest. There are many different ways that you could interpret the words and her imaginative vocal movement throughout the song really helps the listener to understand her feeling.

This is a great song, but the remixes of it are barely different at all from the original, so I'd best reccomend getting this on an import version of the full-length album "debut".

    5 out of 5 stars Lovely!   October 25, 2000

If you don't own the UK version of Debut (which comes with this song on it) you *must* buy this single! It's is a beautifull constructed song, the lyrics are amazing, plus the orchestral strings are just amazing. Go ahead and buy it, you won't be disappointed.

and passion with Bjork...I have all of her, she is great and I can't wait to see her with la mere Deneuve on the big screen.

    5 out of 5 stars A stunning song!!   June 7, 1999

This song has got to be one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. Listening to Bjork belting away sends chills up my spine. The strings are very lush next to the sexy low beat of the music. You gotta have this single!
