Amazon.com The sequel to I Know What You Did Last Summer takes place one year later. Julie's (Jennifer Love Hewitt) roommate Karla (Brandy) wins a trip for four to the Bahamas. With their boyfriends in tow, they take the vacation, on which it becomes obvious that someone still knows what they did last summer. The music that accompanies the film is a smorgasbord of current pop styles, bright dance pop, electronic drones, and light doses of hip-hop. Summer star Hewitt delivers "How Do I Deal?," a slick pop confection with the requisite buzzing of alternative guitars and expertly layered vocals. Orgy perform New Order's "Blue Monday" with the addition of 90s technology to boost the song's ominous, android quality. Deetah's "Relax" incorporates a sample of Dire Straits' "Why Worry." Grant Lee Buffalo seem a tad out of place with the straight-ahead rock of "Testimony," which sounds surprisingly modest amid the glittery hue of the rest of the material. --Rob O'Connor

best soundtrack of '98 July 5, 1999 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
this was the best soundtrack of '98 for sure. Not because of Jennifer Love Hewitt though, her song was actually the worst one on this cd. Thanks to this cd, I've discovered bands I've never heard of before, like Deetah, Orgy, Bijou Phillips, and Lamb. If you like a variety of music, get this! If you're buying this for JLH's song, let me warn you...none of the other songs sound anything like hers!
I WOULD GIVE IT TEN STARS IF I COULD! May 24, 2002 F. Sabartinelli (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ok i love this cd, i put it in all the time. Usually i get sick of a cd after awhile and listen to something else, but this cd is contantly in my cd player. THere is such a varity of music. For ex: songs 1,3-5 and nine have that fun, adventurous rebel feels to them. Number three is just plain fun. Number nine has that r&b feel and five...is well orgy. My fave part of the cd is the other songs, yeah the other ones are great but I love this cd for its emotional impact it makes on me. number seven is amazing its one of those songs that if you are going through a tough relationship time, you can relate so much. number 10 is one of those impowering songs, when I hear it i invision a woman who was beat by her lover and shes telling him, " well whos getting scared now, tell me how does it feel?" I also like number eight, overall if you dont have this cd you are missing out because a great cd is hard to find and this one is better overall than the rest

A goo done to buy August 22, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This soundtrack is pretty great. I'm not the kind of guy who listens to a lot of female singers, but I recommand this cd to everyone who does. The New Order's cover by Orgy is very good, but my fav is the Jennifer Love song How do I deal. What a good song. I LOVE that one.
