Amazon.com Modern country fulfills a real musical need. It offers songs about adult issues--relationships, employment, religion, and children--couched in the modern production values familiar to more recent generations. Artists such as Randy Travis, George Strait, Clint Black, and Vince Gill have proven time and time again that slick and down-home are not necessarily incompatible. For it to work, however, requires excellent songwriting and distinctive, emotionally evocative singing. Unfortunately, too much of Everywhere We Go, Chesney's fifth record, is second-rate material and paint-by-numbers arrangements sung with an emotional sameness that seems to make little distinction between the humor of "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" and the romance of "You Had Me from Hello." For a moment, during "Baptism"--a duet with Randy Travis--Chesney invests some real emotion, and the restrained instruments seem in tune with the joyful yet serious subject matter. Then Travis comes in and demonstrates the vocal power and range that it takes to be the kind of artist that Chesney merely aspires to be. --Michael Ross

Great New Release from Kenny Chesney!!!! November 4, 1999 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
This CD is one of the best country CD's I have ever listened too. Every song on this CD is great. The songs they play on the radio arent the only ones that are good. Thats one reason why I like kenny's music so much. He puts his full effort into every song he makes. This CD is a lot like Shania Twain's "The Woman in Me." Both CD's have a good mix of fun songs with love songs. But its the fun songs I like the best. Not many artists..ie Tim McGraw or Alan Jackson would make songs like "She think's my tractor's sexy" or "how forever feels." Kenny is a unique artist. I hope he gaines the attention he deserves soon!
New to country music...and this is what I like! December 26, 1999 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I've been listening to country music for less than a year, but I'll never forget the first time I heard How Forever Feels on the radio as I was driving to the casino. It's one of those songs you have to roll down your windows for! My new favorite at this point is She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy. It's a fun, upbeat song that just makes you feel good. I read someone else's review who said the song is a little redundant. I see how one might say that but it's still a great tune. I'm buying the CD right now so I can't comment on every single song yet but I've heard enough to know what a great CD this is. I think Kenny Chesney is an excellent singer because he has a smooth voice, and his music is definitely country, but not with that backwoods twang. On the other hand it's not as pop-y as say the Dixie Chicks. None of my friends or co-workers listen to country music but when I play Kenny Chesney over the internet at work or subject my friends to his songs in the car, I never get any complaints. I will be buying more of his CDs.

I own this CD and like all the songs on it. I really like "How Forever Feels" and "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy". I would highly reccomend it. Keep up the good work, Kenny!
His best album to date January 19, 2000 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I didn't think he could top his last album, "I Will Stand", but he did with this gem. Every song could be a single-they are really that good. His number one hit, "How Forever Feels" was on top for a month making it one of the best hits of the year. "California", another great tune, is my personal favorite on the album. He only gets better.
This CD is awesome! March 11, 2000 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
First of all I don't know where this Michael Ross guy gets off putting down the CD. This CD shows the talent that Kenny C. has and how he has grown as an artist during his musical career. Every CD that he has put out has been better than the one before and this one is no exception. I love every song on the CD and not one lets me down. I especially like I Might Get Over You and Life Is Good. This is a very uplifting CD and it just makes you "feel good!"
