I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF KARI'S SINCE DISCOVERING HER ON "SLIDERS." WHEN I HEARD SHE RELEASED A CD ENTITLED "SHINY," I WAS CURIOUS. SO I LISTENED TO THE SAMPLES ON THE WEB. IT WAS HARD TO TELL BY THE SOUND QUALITY, BUT THE CD SEEMED TO BE WORTH BUYING, IF FOR THE VERY LEAST THE COVER ART - AFTER ALL, KARI IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, SULTRY WOMEN IN THE WORLD. WHEN IT ARRIVED MY SUSPICIONS WERE MORE THAN CONFIRMED. THIS CD ROCKS! THE CLEVER COMPOSITIONS ARE A PLEASANT CROSS BETWEEN SEVENTIES PSYCHEDELIA AND ALTERNATIVE ROCK. HER LAYERED VOCALS, RANGE AND POWER ARE OUTSTANDING. A PERFECT BLEND OF GRACE. THE SUPPORTING MUSICIANSHIP IS EQUALLY TASTEFUL. SHE SEEMS TO BE ACOMPLISHING WITH EVEN MORE AUTHORITY WHAT ALANNIS MORRISETTE IS ALSO DOING, ONLY KARI IS A LOT PRETTIER! KARI'S ANGELIC VOICE RANKS RIGHT UP THERE WITH SIRENS LIKE TORI AMOS AND HEATHER NOVA, AND BLOWS AWAY ALL THOSE TOP 40 PHONIES! MY ONLY QUESTION IS, WHY ISN'T THIS CD IN THE TOP TEN? THE PRODUCTION IS SUPERB. THIS I DON'T UNDERSTAND. THIS BEAUTIFUL WOMAN'S SINGING SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. SHE HAS A GIFT. EVERYONE I KNOW WHO HAS HEARD THIS CD IS EQUALLY IMPRESSED. I AM ANXIOUSLY AWAITING A FOLLOW-UP CD AND TOUR. ONLY THIS TIME, I'LL KNOW IT WILL BE SOMETHING WORTHY OF MY HARD EARNED BUCKS WITHOUT SAMPLING FIRST. IT'S NICE TO KNOW THAT WITH THE RECENT DEMISE OF THE SCI-FI HIT SLIDERS, KARI HAS A PROMISING MUSIC CAREER TO FALL BACK ON. GOOD TO SEE A CONNECTICUT GIRL DO GOOD. -ROCK ON KARI!

Kari is not only a talented actress,but a spine-tingling singer as well!.Her album is like one big roller coaster ride.There are songs that speak to your heart and soul that either make you happy or sad,there are also songs that are so sensual that they turn you to putty in Kari's hands.Her voice is so angelic,that you spiral into another world,and once your there there's no turning back!.All the songs on this album are amazing,but my personal favorite is BETTER OFF.I'm glad to know that there are at least some fans out there,it intrigues me to think of all the infinate possibilities that the world could offer her if there were more.I'm dying for a release of her next album! .Kari,if you're out there please dont give up your passion for music,music is my greatest passion and without you it would be missing one of it's greatest assets! .

As some mentioned before, I first noticed Kari in "Sliders", which airs in the Netherlands for 18 months now. She is indeed a very pretty woman. So I started searching the web on info about her and found out she made a CD. I listened to it and bought it right away. It had everything I like in music. Nice rocky songs, complimented with 3 super balads with great lyrics. I especially enjoyed Take Me Now and Better Off. Take this woman seriously, as I believe (and hope) we will here more from her.

I am a huge fan of Kari Wuhrer the actress, and now after hearing her new album, I'm a huge fan of Kari the musician. Karis' sensous vocals bring life to every song! I highly recommend this album! :o) I hope this is the first of many albums for the talented Kari Wuhrer!

Kari is an exceptionally beautiful woman, and I've always appreciated that. Kari's 10-year show biz resume is nothing more than showing off her pretty face and great body, and I purchased this CD because I expected it to be laugh-out-loud awful. The joke's on me -- it's better than that. Kari doesn't have the strongest voice, but it is kind of pretty and she has nothing to be ashamed of here. The songs are lightweight, but that is probably the exact marketing niche her producers were looking for. I will listen to this from time to time, and probably buy her next CD.
