Is Adam Sandler maturing? First there was The Wedding Singer, now there's the ambition he displays on his fourth album, Stan and Judy's Kid. The bittersweet character sketch "Whitey" is the best example of Sandler's stretching here; most surprising is that the 16-minute piece never gets boring. Another lengthy track, "The Psychotic Legend of Uncle Donnie," is more akin to the '90s' Saturday Night Live's endless bits, though it's impressive to hear such a grisly conceit on a comedy disc. Sandler succeeds with pure absurdity on the opening "Hot Water Burn Baby" and five brief "Cool Guy" vignettes. Still the finest thing here is a sequel to Sandler's classic "Chanukah Song," which reminds us that "Lenny Kravitz is half-Jewish / Courtney Love is half, too / Put them together / What a funky, bad-ass Jew." --Rickey Wright

    5 out of 5 stars Adam's Funniest CD Yet!   November 27, 1999

I think that this CD is Adam's funniest yet. I've been waiting a long time to hear the "Chanukah Song Part II."

2 out of 5 stars It has it's moments, but not a great CD.   October 6, 1999

I'm sorry folks, this is just not classic Adam Sandler. This CD is not half as funny as "What The Hell Happened to Me," or even "They're All Gonna Laugh at You." The series of "Cool Guy" skits are OK the first couple of times, but after 4 or 5 new ones, they seem like nothing more than idle space fillers. I did find "The Peeper" and "The Champ" slightly amusing however, and "The Psychotic Legend of Uncle Donnie" was OK. But unlike Sandler's other albums, I found myself hitting the track skip button on my CD player often. Don't bother paying for this CD unless you're a hardcore Sandler fan.

    5 out of 5 stars Wow.   November 8, 1999

This is one of funnist CDs I heard in a long time. He is a great comedian. "The Peeper" is hilarious, as well as the Uncle Donnie skit. "The Champion" is by far the funniest, exploring the exciting world of golf. Anyway, I suggest to anyone that they go out and buy the cd right away.

Oh my god. This cd is so hillarious. I laugh every time I hear the cd. It's just too funny. Adam is my icon and never fails to make me hail him more. I think this cd is much diffrnet then the other cd's though.
for 1: More crude sexual jokes and less language (still a fair amount though)
2:A little less dark than what the hell happened to me. More dark than They're all gonna laugh at you and whats your name.
3: Violently sick yet hillarious track. Made me feel quisy from the sound effects (track 16 is very rough).

Even though there are some flaws it is still pretty perfect of a cd.

1: Hot water burn baby-- simply hillarious. Sily voices plus Schnieder is always good.
2: Cool Guy1-- kinda dumb but has potential
3: 7 foot man-- Adam's songs are good but not as hillarious as his skits. This one has witty lyrics and a good beat.
    4: Peeper-- Funny as hell
5:Cool Guy 2-- better than 1 still not great
6: Dee Wee--Funny lyrics, funny song, funny guy
7: Whitey--not laugh out loud funny but enough to make you smirk.
8: Cool Guy 3-- worst of them all. Oi!
9: She comes home to me-- oh my god. This song is hillarious. All the stuff rhymes to the beat and the sick humor melts my butter (up my alley)
10: Champion-- so so so so so funny. Blake Clark is good in it.
11: Cool Guy 4--Funny, funny funny. Not so stupid and repeative as others.
12: Chanukah Song Part II--good, much better than part one.
13: Inner Voice-- ehhh. ummm. erm.... eh BAD sorry Adam but it sucked.
14: Cool Guy 5-- Hillarious. Should have been longer. So funny that its almsot too good. Get the cd for this, and the champion and all the others.
15: Welcome my son-- er... a against drug song thats really short and repetative
16: Phycotic Legend of Uncle Donnie: Very Disgusting. Sick twisted and odd. ALSO THE FUNNIEST THING EVER. Adam plays a guy who spits out one liners like an Arhnold Swartzanegger movie. Funny, Sick and amazingly good sound effects?

I dont count the last track for its only am inute of all the snipets of the stuff on the album. Bottom line. Get it.

2 out of 5 stars Not even compareable to his other cds   August 20, 2001

"Stan and Judy's kid" is one of the most uninspired cds i've heard in a long time. Adam Sandler's other 2 cds with skits on them, "They're all gonna laugh at you" and "What the hell happened to me?" were both laugh out loud hysterical. This cd, is just boring, and painfully unfunny.

I don't see what he found funny in most of these skits. "Hot Water Burn Baby" is unbelievebly stupid. "Whitey" is the longest, and most painful time waster I've ever heard. All of the "cool guy" skits are lousy, and don't even get me started on the awful songs. The only saving grace here is "the peeper" which did make me laugh, but after the first listen, it got really old.

Skip this cd and "What's your Name", buy his 2 others.
