David Hasselhoff is musical magic personified October 16, 2002 http://methodshop.com (Hoboken, NJ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
David Hasselhoff is musical magic personified. This album just proves that he can do much more than just act. It's hard to believe that so many people in America have overlooked Hasselhoff's musical talents. Probably the most exciting track on this album is the Night Rocker [Extended Blaster-Mix]. The first time I heard this song I fell in love with it. I probably played it 20 times over and over again. I just close my eyes and dream of being behind the wheels of KITT from the TV show Knight Rider. I can smell burning rubber with the wind blowing in my 80's feathered chest hair while gently touching the turbo boost. Hasselhoff really knows how to capture the emotions of love and excitement in song.
Still No Hot Shot City..... July 6, 2005 Der Duke (Berlin, The Fatherland) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Why did David Hasselhoff not open and close the Berlin section of Live 8 on Saturday 2nd July 2005? I think Mr Geldof will be receiving a letter of sorts with some choice words on it. If it weren't for he and Looking For Freedom, Germany would still be East & West... Another work of art destined for the New Tate Modern Gallery. Why `Der Duke' hasn't been made into a latter day saint, or have his face carved into the side of a mountain in the newly made Children of Hasselhoff Animal Sanctuary & Country Park in the suburbs of Tibet totally befuddles me. I am also shocked that the powers that be have not changed it from Bismarck, Dakota to Hasselhoff, Dakota in honour of this prince amongst men. A great album that takes the listener on the highs, lows and straight as a dye life of a fly by night crimefighter cum lifeguard cum The Most Inspirational German in History (1980 - Present). Best to listen to drunk to dull the senses as it will have you jumping and jiving and twitching in time to the beat. Lord Hasselhoff opens up with the rock classic Night Rocker, giving us a glimpse to what Eurotrash looks, sounds and smells like. He then sets his leather trousers on fire for Crazy on A Saturday Night and by `Der Duke's' words it seems that there is not a hotel room's television safe in Germany for all the hard rocking he does. All The Right Moves is another classic that fails to leave you shaking your head in disbelief that it could have been recorded without permission from the Royal Society for the Protection of Human Senses. I hear that the terrorists in Club Gitmo are subjected to Hasselfhoff music 24/7 - how lucky can so many be? They will die in the knowledge that they have been in the company of God or something similar and being touched in all the right places by an Angel (of muscial mass destruction). I recall the days when Der Duke mentioned that there are a lot of people dying in the world, and there last wish was to see his face and feel his hairy hand stroke against their cheek. Again, no Hot Shot City, but I can forgive `Der Duke' for the inclusion of not one, but two Night Rockers make this a 5 star gem.

Makes Me Want To Shake My Groove Thing, Shake My Groove Thing (Yeah, Yeah) October 6, 2005 Bud Gott (New Castle, DE USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm not much of a dancer, but this album makes me want to dance every time I play it! "The Hass" gets made fun of sometimes for his singing and music but I, for the life of me, don't understand that. All you need to do is listen to the music, people. Just listen to the music! It's the stuff that dreams are made of. There's not a bad thing I can say about this album. The best thing I can say about it is that it contains two versions of David's classic "Night Rocker" song. Two versions! That's like getting two little pieces of heaven for the price of one. If you haven't already bought this album, then you're just not spending your money wisely enough.
Cool pic Dave! January 8, 2003 Miss MC Griffiths (Halesowen, West Midlands United Kingdom) Wow!... I just love the album cover of this "Magic Collection". Eight whole pictures of Dave on a snazzy pink background. It doesn't just look good either... Though not as much of an emotional collection as 'Looking for - Best of', it doesn't fail to please. The first track, 'Night Rocker', is a fantastic opener and will have you rocking around the living room whilst pretending to play guitar and flex your pecks. But there's not just classic rock to be found here. No. There's a few tear jerkin' ballads for you romantics out there. So grab your guys and gals and stick this on the stereo. Wham bam thanks Dave! This collection really is "Magic".
