Jessica Simpson was first brought into the land of dance music by Soul Solution when they remixed her single "I Wanna Love You Forever". Now, Lenny Bertoldo has taken her romantic ballad and turned it into a fierce club stomper! Jessica's vocals wrap around Lenny's beats flawlessy as do Nick Lachey's (from the boy band 98 Degrees and also Jessica's real-life boyfriend). What makes this such a great single is that you get the Lenny Bertoldo mixes, as well as the full length Soul Solution mix of "I Wanna Love You Forever" without having to shell out the extra dough for an import edition! track listing is as follows:1) Album Version - 4:32
2) Lenny B's Club Mix - 10:55
3) Lenny B's Dub Mix - 7:14
4) Lenny B's Bonus Beats - 2:30
5) I Wanna Love You Forever (Soul Solution Extended Club Vocal Version) - 9:28
If this is the kind of club music that Jessica and Columbia records want to give us, I'll keep on buying! Way to go Jessica, Nick, Lenny, Soul Solution & Columbia Records!
When Jessica Simpson first came onto the scene, I really disliked her sappy ballads, and holier-than-thou stance on her virginity and all that hoo-ha...so anyhoo, I later heard the Soul Solution remix of "I Wanna Love You Forever" on the radio, and thought it was actually good.I bought this CD on a whim, and it was such a great whim to take!
The Album Version...I didn't like it when I heard it, and I haven't listened to it, rather choosing the Club Mix.
Lenny B's Club Mix is hot! It's really heavy and I was totally won over by it and now actually like Jessica as a dance artist. This remix blows me away and it's totally fierce and fabulous! Go Jessica!
Lenny B's Dub Mix is a bit monotonous, since it's a dub and all, but the beat is strong, fast and hyper and it's another winner. In it, she only says, "That you'll take me back," and the back up singers sing, "I still believe." If dubs aren't your thing, stick with the Club Mix. Both are hot, regardless, and shouldn't be tossed aside.
Lenny B's Bonus Beats is a straight instrumental piece, and at only 2:30, it's really satisfying, and the beat alone is really cool.
I Wanna Love You Forever (Soul Solution Extended Club Vocal Version) is very fast and cool. Jessica voice is also *very* loud, and for me at least, it was hard to understand what she was saying some of the time...but oh well, you can still dance to it, and that's all that matters. Another fabulous and fierce dance mix from Ms. Simpson!
So even if you're skeptical about Jessica, but love dance music, don't miss out - I was like that, but have been happily converted through these tight beats and cool dance remixes.
