Britney has done it again, but this time with a harder, edgier sound. This album was so much better then the first, and I love the first album. In this album she has shown that she has grown as an artist. She had more control over what type of music she wanted on this album, and the music she chose is off the hook.Tracks:
1. "Oops!...I Did It Again" - This song is so good. Although, it is similar to "...Baby One More Time", it is still a show stopper.
2. "Stronger" - I like this song a lot. It has a good beat and I love the dance break.
3. "Don't Go Knockin' On My Door" - This is one of my favorite songs because it has a more R&B vibe to it. It shows Britney's versatility.
4. "Satisfaction (I Can't Get No)" - The remake of this song is awesome. I have to give her mad props for this one.
5. "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" - This is a great ballad. A definite plus.
6. "What U See (Is What U get)" - I love this song. Another favorite. I love the intro with the violins. This should be a single.
7. "Lucky" - Another favorite. It has the "Stand By Me" beat to it.
8. "One Kiss From You" - This song is good, not one of my favorites, but it's good to listen to.
9. "Where Are You Now" - This is a great ballad. It's more mature sounding, then let's say "From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart".
10. "Can't Make You Love Me" - This is a great uptempo song. The dance break is really good too.
11. "When Your Eyes Say It" - I really like this song a lot. I love the strings in the song.
12. "Girl In The Mirror" - This is a really great song. One of my favorites. She should've kept this on the US album.
13. "You Got It All" - Another great cover song. This song really shows Britney's vocal ability. Definetly a favorite.
14. "Heart" - I love the strings in this song. It's a really good song, but just a little sappy. It's got a good beat though.
15. "Dear Diary" - Another sappy song. Britney co-wrote this song so i have to give her some credit, although, I think she could've done better. It's cute though.
As you can see, overall, this album is really, really good. I love it. I suggest you go out and buy it. And if you're a Britney Fan, you should definetly have this import. It's great!
Like someone else had written, I didn't care at all for the US release of this CD.When I found out that the Australian release had 3 bonus tracks, including a remake of "You Got It All", I had to get it. And I wasn't disappointed. The extra $$ was definitely worth it.
"Girl in the Mirror" is a good ballad, different from her earlier material.
"You Got It All" has definitely got it. I can't believe this wasn't in the US release. Britney shows off her vocal range and even hits high notes on one verse! The combination of Britney + "You Got It All" = success!
And "Heart" was one of my favorites on the album. Especially when she sings the line:
"Give it time, help me through, Heart, we can do this together..."
It sends chills up my spine when I feel the emotion she puts into this song. She really makes it her own, and puts deep feeling into it. It also makes a perfect tie-in to the final song on the album (also on the US release): "Dear Diary."
