a mother's story January 16, 2005 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
My son, Christopher Colt Kelley, was murdered on December 21, 2001. He was 15 years old and he was a real Juggalo. He used to try and get me to play ICP cd's all the time whenever we were riding in the car together and I wouldn't listen to them. When he was murdered I took the time to sit and listen to what he was in to. I haven't stopped listening to ICP yet. I met Violent J once before Shangri-La came out and I told him all about my son. He held my hand and told me in these words that I will never forget, "You should not be sad that he is gone, you should always look at it like this, whenever it rains, that's him Raining Diamonds down on you." Then Shangri-La dropped and I heard It Rains Diamonds...and I could not stop crying. Now I am a 37 year old Juggalette and I'll be that way 'til I'm dead in the ground. My son was buried with an ICP shirt on and a Hatchetman round his neck. And I plan on going the same way. Everyone has their own thoughts about ICP and the Dark Carnival...but if you're not a true Juggalo....you'll never get it. MCL and R.I.P. Colt....we miss you.
This CD May Be Bizaar, But That's ICP For Ya July 15, 2001 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Hey, Shawn the Juggalo from Canada here. Insane Clown Posse's Bizaar is strictly for true ICP fans known as Juggalos. During the Great Milenko and Amazing Jeckel Brothers eras, the ICP introduced rock with their rap and it seemed to fit well. Tons of new fans bought those records, plainly because heavy guitar riffs were included in songs such as "Piggy Pie", "Halls Of Illusions", "Assasins" and "F' The World". On Halloween on 2000, ICP came out with twin CDs. Bizzar and Bizaar. Note the spelling differences. These two albums were everything ICP had in them to make Juggalos happy. This time, they didn't have to worry about capturing new fans, icluding a Dark Carnival Joker's Card message or anything the other albums did. They just wanted to make good music that people would strive to listen to. And they did exactly that. I think Bizaar is slightly better than Bizzar only because the songs were more typical ICP. But don't get me wrong, Bizzar is a good CD. So if you, for some reason, are a Juggalo, and don't have this album I suggest you buy both of them. But get this one first. Peace out Juggalos.
Great Example of Wicked Talent September 18, 2005 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Many ppl have been dissin on the clownz cuz they say that they have bad and whack rhymes. As i never thought anything by ICP was whack, i thought this album could be the most clever lyrics. Even though The Wraith albums had a lot more thought in them, this CD is just so tight and funny. As the two clowns portrayed all of this violence in past albums like Amazing Jeckel Bros and Milenko, this one is pure. Those cds were too but this CD is one of a kind. Check this, the clowns do a lot of stuff on this, they show that they're still violent as hell, they hate eminem, and they are really pretty sad with their life. Every song on here has a great purpose and i would consider it one of their best Non-Joker cds.
1. Intro (7/10) --Good intro, kinda scary. It kinda drags out too long though. It's supposed to be a news report while the Dark Carnival takes over.
2. Take Me Away (10/10) --"Welcome to the Dark Carnival." This is the tightest beat i have ever heard. J doesnt start with the rapping for about a minute but it doesn't matter cuz you'll be swept away in the beat. This is kinda the intro song such as the song "Jake Jeckel" and Amazing Jeckel Bros.
3. R U Scared? (9/10) --This is a wicked song. They talk about doing crazy stuff. It's funny as hell and you'll be repeating lines from it. The only reason it isnt 10 is cuz some of the rhymes are the same but other than that this is another classic.
4. Whut?!! [featuring Twiztid] (8/10) --I don't know why, but this song was annoying. Maybe it's because they kept going WHUT after every single line. I still thought it was funny but it got a little repetetive.
5. Rainbows & Stuff (9/10) --Funny song. A lot of metal guitar in this. It starts all nice then turns crazy.
6. Still Stabbin (10/10) -- This, track 6, is where the real show starts. Still Stabbin is the second part of the song off Amazing Jeckel Bros called "I Stab People." That song wasnt great but this one is hilarious. He talks about stabbing everyone from his brother to wrestling commentators. The chorus is scary and will have you chanting "Slice them up, slice them down, side to side and all around. They dont help, they dont care, guess whos swinging everywhere"
7. Tilt-a Whirl (10/10) --As any juggalo probably knows, this is ICPs second biggest hit so of course its great. It is hella funny and its more raw than the version they played on MTV.
8. We Gives no F*ck (10/10) --Congrats to Violent J for his rhymes in this joint. Its great lyrics and funny. This one is easily a classic. It was even featured on the Video Game "Backyard Wrestling"
9. Please Don't Hate me (10/10) --Sad for eminem, funny for a juggalo. This is by far the funniest song on the album. I cant even remember my reaction to the first time i heard this song This is the type of song you will keep rewinding prats on.
10. Behind the Paint (10/10) --Most meaningful song to date. Even songs on the Wraith didnt compare. This song makes u feel bad for the clowns. It includes sad lines with a tight beat. Everyone i know always disses this song but i dont know why. its one of my favorites.
11. My homey baby Moma (6/10) --This is the worst song on the album and it is just not that good. The beat is annoying and the lyrics are kinda dumb. It aint whack but it isnt one you need to know.
12. Pendulems Promise (10/10) --This song is one that everyone needs to know. Its weird but its definitely a great song. It isnt only the song thats there, theres also 16 extra minutes of skits, funny songs and appearances from Rude Boy and Vanilla Ice.
Over all this is truly one of their best albums and a great example of raw humor.

Hey Waiter! There's bland metal-rock in my horrorcore rap! December 27, 2000 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have been a ICP fan for several years (since Ringmaster for all you obsessed juggulos) and I have been quite bored with there slow fall into bland metal-rock-rap. The music is nowhere as fun and interesting as the carnival-horrorcore-hiphop that infused there previous albums such as, Ringmaster, Great Milenko, and (there best album in my book) The Riddlebox. The music seems to be emulating the dull and overdone metal-rap groups like limpbisket that is so prevalent today. Too much guitar and too little dark crazy beats and samples. I am also depressed that they are ignoring there Dark Carnival myth. Their whole crazy Dark Carnival mythos is what makes them great. The "intro" and "take me away" are the only songs that have anything to do with the Dark Carnival. After that the album falls into blah cheap cliche humor. They seem to be casting aside everything that makes them unique and interesting. That said it is still better then a lot of the crap out there. So I will give three stars.
This was the turning point.. February 6, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bizaar is slightly better than Bizzar, but still sub-par when you compare it to everything ICP previously did. These albums are when ICP started to sell out and make happy music that your grandma could listen to, which is what led to the departure of Mike E. Clark. I did enjoy some of the songs on here however, such as "Still Stabin'" "Tilt-A-Whirl" and "Whut" but overall the music just didn't have that ICP sound that I knew and loved. Now that Mike E. Clark is back, I hope that all changes with The Tempest.
