I reviewed the Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 versions of this single, and I must say that the Pt. 3 CD is definitely the best of the lot. Why? Because its a combination of the content of the Pt. 1 and 2 CDs, making this a consolidated complilation. There are both the Thunderpuss and Vission remixes here, as well as 'Cyberraga', so if any of you are wondering which import version of 'Don't tell me' to buy, then Pt. 3 is certainly worth your while.
Not for American Audiences December 28, 2000 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This UK Version of 'Don't tell me' will be of no interest to the American public, as it contains 'Cyberraga' which was part of the US release of the 'Music' single. 'Don't tell me' is a fine example of how a bland tune can be made interesting with unusual studio effect and use of instrumentation. Ths start-stop intro was one of the most referred-to musical incidents of the year 2000, and the song itself gained notoriety for the way it burned up the American charts without an official single release. 'Cyberraga' is a wonderful Sanskrit song, that Madonna made with Talvin Singh. It is instantly catchy, and personally I liked it much better than either 'Music' or 'Dont tell me'. Alas, the Thunderpuss remix of 'Don't tell me' is way below the mark and hovers at average. This is a pity because the song could have been remixed decently enough. The work on this reminds me of the boring remix work on Madonna's 1999 maxi single of 'Nothing really matters'. All in all, a decent enough single, but nothing to write home about.

Tracklist : 1-Radio Version (4:10) 2-Cyber-Raga (5:31) 3-Thunderpuss Club Mix (7:53)When it comes to this song I'm a total freak. This is the best song from the "Music" album. The Don't Tell Me singles are the best Madonna singles ever. The cover picture is exquisitely cool and funny, and full of colors. And the Thunderpuss remixes definitely stand out as the best dance remixes for a Madonna song. Extremely well-produced remixes made for the dance floor and all of this without losing the catchiness of the original. On this UK single part 1, you get the Thunderpuss Club Mix (full version of the thunderpuss radio mix found on part 2). Remember this remix is not available on the regular US maxi-single, which offers a DIFFERENT thunderpuss remix (aka the "2001" one). Confusing? Indeed, to get all of the DTM remixes (including all of the thunderpusses), you have to buy a total of FOUR singles : UK part 1 and 2, US maxi-single (featuring the video and the thunderpuss 2001), and the Australian single (also with the video, and yet featuring a third exclusive thunderpuss remix and a screen-saver). The radio edit doesn't differ much from the original. The fading strings at the end of the song have been cut out. As for Cyber-Raga, it sounds a bit like "Shanti Ashtangi" from the Ray Of Light album. Not my style, but who cares, the Thunderpuss Club Mix totally rocks. Don't you ever tell her to stop!
Its a good video for the song December 3, 2000 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Part One includes the ever floating b-side 'Cyberragga' and a Thunderpuss Club Mix of the title track. Also the Radio Edit. I don't know why they said that its four track. Maybe there is an Edit with one of the remixes. Nothing has been said on the whole "Don't Tell Me" project. Other than that, the Song and video are pertty good.
Good dance remix December 22, 2000 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Thunderpuss remixes are usually great ones. This dance mix of Don't tell me is the best remixed version of that song at my opinion. The radio edit is like the album version, but a little shorter, and the non-album track Cyber-Raga is like the Ray Of Light track "Shanghi-Ashtangi"... So as a Madonna fan and a dance music lover, i think the thunderpuss club mix is the only reason this single should be bought.
