DIVIT IS AN EMO PUNK BAND, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I WOULD SAY THEY SOUND A LITTLE LIKE THE GET UP KIDS MEET SOMEONE MORE PUNK LIKE SAVES THE DAY. TENSION IS A FANTASTIC ALBUM WHICH PORTRAYS DIVIT'S EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY TO FORGE TO THE POINT, POWERFUL ROCK SONGS. THE ALBUM STARTS OFF WITH 'SEWN TOGETHER' WHICH HAS AN AMAZING CHORUS AND OVERALL PROGRESSION. 'LET THEM BURN' IS SONG TWO AND JUST AS GOOD. IT IS QUICK PACED AND SHORT WITH LYRICS AND MELODY THAT ARE INSTANTLY MEMORABLE. THE WHOLE CD IS SOLID WITH OTHER STAND OUT TRACKS INCLUDING 'IN PEICES' AND THE "classic" FINALE 'WISH I COULD BE.' THESE GUYS ARE WELL TRAINED ON THEIR INSTRUMENTS WITH PARTICULARLY IMPRESSIVE BASS AND VOCALS. THE LYRICS ARE DECENT AS WELL, MOSTLY FOCUSING ON VERY "emo" TOPICS SUCH AS RELATIONSHIPS AND SELF. THIS CD TOOK ME A COUPLE LISTENS TO REALLY GET INTO AND RESPECT, BUT NOW THT I HAVE TAKEN IT IN I LOVE IT AND SINCERELY RECOMMEND IT.
