Creed continues to impress me! May 23, 2000 Chris Meyer (Holland, MI United States) 27 out of 27 found this review helpful
As an ever-growing Creed fan, I bought this to get a hold of the 3 B-sides, especially "To Whom It May Concern" as well as another recording of "Higher". If you're reading this, I'm sure you already know that Creed's "Higher" is an awesome song. Creed has really grown musically since their first album, and "Higher" is probably the best example of that growth. The second song, "To Whom It May Concern", is almost as equally amazing! It easily became one of my favorite Creed songs. It's a shame it wasn't on Human Clay and that you can only get it on import singles, because it is truly a great Creed song. The cover of The Door's "Roadhouse Blues" isn't too bad. It's not quite the original, but could it really be without Jim Morrison? Robbie Krieger does make an appearance on guitar for this live recording of the cover, which is pretty good, in my book. The single ends with a pretty cool alternate version of "What's This Life For" with acoustic guitar, drums, piano, and rock organ. I think this is the best single for "Higher" that I've seen. Definitely get this one while you can, if you're a fan of Creed or "Higher".
Taking you higher... November 28, 2000 James T Humphrey II (Huntersville, NC United States) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This CD while it only has 4 songs, is wonderful. We get to hear not only the hit song Higher... but other expressions of Creed. To Whom It May Concern is a great Creed song nobody knows about. Roadhouse Blues is a song creed plays with the Doors, and it just rules. It shows Creed can play probably any sort of music style (probably even rap :-} ). What's this life for is a bit different from the one you will find on the My Own Prision CD, and is very enjoyable. This is a must have to your already growing creed collection.
WOW!!!! THIS IS A MUST BUY July 22, 2000 Gary T. (Saco, ME USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
My first impression that I got with this CD was amazing. This group is one of the most impressive groups that I have ever listned to. The song "Higher" is amazing and extremely well put together. All of the other songs are great also. If you like good quality music, you will love this album. If you get this album, you WILL NOT be disappointed. Trust Me!!!

Best Kept Secret March 10, 2001 Linda Johnson (Chicago, IL USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Creed has always brought great music to the masses and with the extra songs on this album, they only bring more of their wonderful artistry to the ears of the public. The main reason I love this CD is because of the song "To Whom It May Concern". In my opinion this is one of the best songs Creed has recorded. The guitar is completely in sync with Stapp's vocals, at best here in this wonderful song. The lyrics completely blew me away the first time I heard them and I am still mesmerized every time I hear the song. It's a song that transcends stereotypical rock and I think everyone needs to hear this song.
