Brilliant song but the CD stinks December 30, 2002 Weather Warden <3 (Auckland, NZ) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
When I first heard "Lady Marmalade" on the radio, I LOVED it. It was so catchy, so brilliant, it was the best song I'd heard in ages. Then, when it came to my birthday I received the single as a present. I was happy that I had "Lady Marmalade" on CD, but the rest of it was boring. The remixes are boring, and the only really good track is the radio edit of "Lady Marmalade". The song itself is groovy, and sexy. Everyone sounds good on this (even though I'm not a fan of Pink, Mya or Lil Kim), and Christina sounds brill at the end. I like Missy Elliot's part on the song at the end, and overall it's a cool song. I give this three stars, because I love "Lady Marmalade" by itself. But don't buy this single, get the soundtrack to Moulin Rouge instead... oh yeah and Moulin Rouge the movie is good too.

The songs here showcase the splendid vocal range of Christina. At least they would, but she only has a very small part in "Lady Marmalade" along with other big R&B/Pop/Hip-Hop names such as Lil' Kim, Mya and Pink. The elephant love medley would have been spectacular if only someone who could have sung. (Nicole Kidman is a fairly good actress, but singing?? Um, no!) As for "Sparkling Diamonds," well, same story. Still, the song "Lady Marmalade" makes it well worth the cost. Just one listen and you'll know what I mean.
Lady Marmalade sans video April 18, 2002 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I loved the single so much that I went to see the film and was totally disappointed. I wish that they would release the single on Video as I think that those women were fabulous and Missy e excellent.
Great song, but buy the other single January 6, 2002 Robert Koehler (Tampa, FL USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I definitely recommend the other version with the mixes. This one is not Lady Marmalade only, but a compilation of other trashy songs from Moulin Rouge.
Horrible but Nice Looking Babes! May 4, 2002 mistermaxxx@yahoo.com (usa) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I like the Video to the Song.the Girls Look Good.but as far as them as Singers&whatnot? they can't hold Patti Labelle's Left Lung.a Dinky Re-Make that Sounds more closer to En Vouge's "Free Your Mind" than the Original Labelle Jam.find the Original Jam leave this alone.
