    Editorial Reviews:

    Amazon.com
Soon to bust out of middle school, Aaron Carter chirpily boasts "I'm all grown up now" and implores "Come and show me body." Despite that, this star among the Nickelodeon set is still more Fresh Prince than Prince; Oh Aaron will give skittish parents little to worry about. (This would-be mack still lives with his folks, after all.) Further looking to demonstrate his maturity, Carter's handlers also supply him with "The Kid in You," a brand-name-laden pledge that he'll never forget how to have fun, even while raising his own family 'n' stuff. That lesson is supplemented by the title track, which finds Aaron promising too many friends tickets to see brother Nick with the Backstreet Boys. All's well that ends well, though, with Aaron winding up as the opening act and Nick guesting here. Note: the bonus track is simply an ad for an Aaron Carter video/DVD collection. --Rickey Wright

5 out of 5 stars THE MOST BRUTAL CD I'VE EVER HEARD!   August 25, 2002
19 out of 29 found this review helpful

THIS IS A DEATH METAL MASTERPIECE. AARON CARTER IS A GENIUS. HIS SPINE-SPLITTING SCREAMING WITH HIS BONE-CRUSHING GUITAR IS TRULY A WORK OF ART. I WILL NOW REVIEW EACH SONG.
1.Untitled [Hidden Track]-This is just an intro to the most brutal album ever.
2.Oh Aaron-The metal massacre begins here, from the pulverizing guitar solo at the beginning, to the drum beating at the end. Special guest appearence from George Fisher from Cannibal Corpse in this one.
3.Not Too Young, Not Too Old-Another masterpiece. Truly vulgar. This one features Slayer's Kerry King on guitar.
4.Stride(Jump on the Fizzy)-Now, this may sound like a piece of TRL overplayed piece of mainstream $h!t, but it's actully the best and most brutal track on the album. (Yeah, right. Like Aaron Carter's any of those things.)
5.Come Follow Me-Aaron's guitar talent truly shows on this one. Listen and see. He also plays bass in it.
6.I Would-This is a song about abusive parents. It starts off quiet, but then goes into the fastest, loudest, and angriest song I've ever heard. Pure emotion.
7.Baby It's You-This is a song about murderer's going on a rampage around a town and killing everyone in sight. ...
8.I'm All About You-OOOHH, THIS IS BRUTAL. PURE CARNAGE.
9.Kid in You-This song features Death and Morbid Angel's singers in it, creating another piece of pleasure from gore-man Aaron carter.
10.Hey You-The most intense song ever made.

I recommend Aaron Carter if you like Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, Death, Morbid Angel, Slayer, Empereror, Slipknot or Christian Death.

4 out of 5 stars Little brother Aaron...   November 5, 2001

(...)I bought "Aaron's Party" and have to admit that it was a total waste of money. I bought "Oh Aaron" when I heard the slightest hint of his voice changing between the two albums, and have to say he's doing a lot better now,but could still stand improvement.
Oh Aaron-- One of my least favorites. Kind of stupid. Gets one star for featuring Nick's hot voice. 1/5
Not Too Young,Not Too Old-- Dance-able,bouncy,fun,very Aaron Carterish. It's how a 13 year old feels except for if I did it it would be called "Too Young, Too Old". 4/5
Stride--The lyrics are bordering on stupid, and those girls doing backgrounds (No Secrets) have the most annoying voices. Nice melody though. 2/5
    Come Follow Me-- Okay. 3/5
I Would-- I dunno if it's just me but his voice sounds a little weird. But it's cute,a nice "feel-good" song. 4/5
Baby It's You-- Awww Aaron's growing up. The thing I disagree with is the line "I'm kinda shy". From what I've seen of him is that he's a hyper outgoing crazy 13 year old. And does he say "your body underneath me"??? I need to go check the lyrics. 3.5/5
I'm All About You-- Sweet ballad. 4/5
The Kid In You--The words really apply to him. But the music is stupid. 2/5
Hey You-- This is my absolute favorite,no contest. Extremely catchy, fun, and upbeat. Makes me wanna be a dancer in this video if he releases it as a single. The vocals aren't bad either. But I think it would've been awesome if Nick Carter did backgrounds on this one. 5/5
Cowgirl-- I'm sorry I hate this song. 1/5

2 stars for catchyness,1 for being cute and another because he's growing up a little. Just wait until he's 17!!!(...)

2 out of 5 stars Too much rap and too mature...........thumbs down!   August 9, 2001

The lyrics on this album are not only offensive but also much too adult for younger fans. I regret picking this one up for my daughter. It's not anything like the "Aaron's Party" CD which I thought was pretty well done. The worst song on the whole CD would have to be the Cowgirl song...... lil'Mama ?????? Come on!

5 out of 5 stars GO OUT AND BUY THIS CD NOW!   August 8, 2001

I have been a huge fan of Aaron for 4 years now and I bought "Oh Aaron" yesterday when it first came out and it's great. This cd is for anyone who likes Aaron's old stuff, pop, or rap because there's a mix of all of them in the songs. If you like Backstreet Boys too, get it since Nick is featured on two songs- "Oh Aaron" and "Not Too Young, Not Too Old". I personally like that song a lot as well as "Hey You" and "I'm All About You". So, if you have any kids, teens, or anyone who likes this kinda music, go out and buy this cd for them or yourself NOW!!

    3 out of 5 stars It's getting worse   August 14, 2001

Ok, I've been a fan of Aaron's music since I was nine, and he was also nine. Of course, when I was nine, I bought his first cd because I thought he was cute and I had a big crush on him and bla bla bla. I learned to like his music after about a million times of listening to his cd. I have to admit though, since the time he sang Surfin' USA, I started to like him less and less. His first cd with Jive records was a big difference, and it wasn't that bad. "Oh Aaron" is a complete disgrace. I can't believe I ever liked him. What's with all the rapping? Does he honestly think he's good at it? I think that his singing voice has gotten so bad, that I actually thought I was going to be sick when I heard "I'm all about you". Also, why does he always say that he wants to get out of Nick's shadow, but Nick is on all of his cd's? If he doesn't want to be thought of as Nick's little brother, then he shouldn't have him on his cd's. I gave the cd 3 stars because if I gave him any less, the five people that thought his cd was good might write a remark towards my review. Aaron, you sound like Vanilla Ice.
