5 out of 5 stars Excellent final album!!!   December 26, 2003

So far, so good; compared to Backstreet Boys' "Black And Blue" Album. Here's how I rate each track:

01 Let's Dance--Something for young females to dance for fun. 9/10

02 Lay All your Lovin' On Me--#1 track of the album, but it should have been released in radio stations of UK and USA. 10/10

03 Rock The Party--This song reminds me of "Miami Vice" of the early 80s, but it is more of the 70s version. 9/10

04 Closer To Me--A piano ballad song featuring J's mild rap. 9/10

05 Hear Me Now--Another song reminding me of "Miami Vice" of the early 80s, but something to run all over the daytime city's air. 9/10

06 Let's Get It On--This track should have been in 5ive's first album, but it's good to walk through the daytime Central Park. 9/10

07 Feel The Love--Another ballad with gospel choir. 9.5/10

08 We've Going All Night--A techno Microsoft commercial version, but not my favorite. 7/10

09 Take Your Chances On Me--A country beat song, but something to enjoy. 9.5/10

10 Something In The Air--A telephone dialtone background music in the party. 9/10

11 Breakdown--A version of Nelly's "Ride Wit Me" driving into the Southeast desert road. 9.5/10

12 On Top Of The World--A southeastern biker's favorite song version. 9/10

13 C'mon C'mon--Something to get together, but not my favorites. 8/10

B1 (25) World Of Mine--A real UK boyband's version of walking through Central Park. 9/10

    B2 (26) All Around--A final track to say goodbye to 5ive. 10/10

    5 out of 5 stars 5ive does it again   November 10, 2001
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

As we all expected, 5ive has once again created a masterpiece. They've developed a slightly different style than before, but it's just as (if not more) amazing as their two previous albums. It has a slightly rouhger, more punk-ish touch to it, but their ballads are a sweet as ever, and their dance tunes are unsurpassed.

If you don't already have this item, all I can say is:
    BUY IT!

Trust me, you won't regret it.

5 out of 5 stars possibly one of the best pop albums you will ever buy   November 27, 2001
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Five does it again with this album...the first two cd's by them are very good, no doubt, but this album is their best one. In fact, it could be one of the best pop albums you could ever buy. Five could quite possibly be one of the best "boy bands" that ever made music. Their new songs on this album are very artistic and mature, and it's kind of like an ecclectic mix of different styles. It goes from being pure power pop on "Feel the Love" to a great ballad on "closer to me" to a sorta country sound on "take your chances on me". oh yeah and not to mention the fact that their vocals are Amazing! If you're looking for an interesting artistic variety of pop with a kind of hip hop flavor, then this is the cd for you. Just as the last person said "If you don't have this album yet, GO BUY IT!" Trust me you WILL NOT regret it. It's a pity that this group didn't really make it all that big in the U.S.

5 out of 5 stars Boyband Pop in Top Form   June 7, 2002
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

There's something about Five. They have a certain spirit in their music that no other boyband seems to have. I admittedly haven't been a fan of theirs for long, but I instantly recognized that about their music. All three of their albums have a good share of infectious, funky, and feel-good tunes, and this one, their "swan song", may very well be their best.

"Hear Me Now", with its relentlessly driving beat and grinding guitar, has quickly become perhaps my favorite boyband song of all time (certainly it's in my top three). Other standouts include the soaring anthem "Feel The Love" (accented by choir and touches of strings and trumpet), the catchy "Rock The Party" (with its clever interpolation of the theme song from "Grease" by Frankie Valli), the heart-tugging ballad "Closer To Me", and the uplifting "On Top Of The World".

Five's "Kingsize" is the perfect complement to NSYNC's "No Strings Attached" and Backstreet Boys' "Millennium", and will stand in my mind as one of the best boyband pop albums ever.

    5 out of 5 stars 5ive's best album ever   July 20, 2002
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

5ive have recently split up, but they leave behind 4 brilliant albums: 5ive, Invincible, Kingsize and Greatest Hits. Out of all the albums, this one is the best. It has the best songs on it, and it's a huge shame that only 2 singles were released from it (being Let's Dance & Rock The Party / Closer To Me). This CD has some excellent tracks on it. Rundown:

    1. Let's Dance (Radio edit)
5ive's best single ever. It is so catchy and great to dance to (as the title suggests). It has an amazing video, and generally one of the best songs on the album. 5/5

    2. Lay All Your Lovin' On Me
Such a catchy dancy song! I love the chorus and the bridge. Abs and J sound great. Would have been a great single. 5/5

    3. Rock The Party
One half of the last ever single. It is great for a party, and sooooo catchy. 4.5/5

    4. On Top Of The World
This song is soooo happy! It's so happy and bouncy. I smile whenever I hear this. I love the vocals and the lyrics. 5/5

    5. Closer To Me
Such a beautiful ballad. It has such meaningful lyrics, and a lovely chorus. I especially love the bridges sung by the gorgeous guy Ritchie (*swoon*). My favourite song on the album. 55555/5

    6. Hear Me Now
Another *brilliant* song. This has such a cool beat, and it's soooo easy to sing along to. I love the vocals by Ritchie and Scott. Another of my favourites. 5/5

    7. Let's Get It On
This song is kind of bland to me. I like the vocals especially from Abs at the beginning, but this is boring to me. It's ok, but not one of the better songs on the album. 3/5

    8. Feel The Love
*Great* gospel song. Ritchie sounds so awesome, I can imagine him singing his heart out. This song is gorgeous! 5/5

    9. We're Going All Night (You Make Me High)
This song is suggestive, but great. I love the chorus and the middle 8. Good song overall. 4.5/5

    10. Take Your Chances On Me
Another boring song. I don't usually listen to this when I put the album on. Skip this, it's very bland. 3/5

    11. Something In The Air
I *love* the music in this song. It's so addictive! There's something abou it, which is so inviting. I love the vocals from Sean in the second verse. 5/5

    12. Breakdown
This song is sooooo funny. I love the part that goes "Everybody, howdy howdy, shake your booty, move ya body", I love it!!!!! It's so cute! This song makes no sense, but it's *fantastic*! 5/5

    13. C'mon C'mon
Another bland song. It drags on a bit, but it has a catchy chorus. 3.5/5

If you get the British version of the album, you get two extra hidden tracks at numbers 25 and 26. They are titled World Of Mine & All Around. World Of Mine is a catchy ballad, and All Around is a brilliant song written by Ritchie! Both rock.

Overall, this is one excellent CD. It's amazing, fantastic, brilliant and any other complimenting words you can think of! 5ive's music will live on in my heart. I will miss you 5ive....
