This is merely a _promo_ set of the singles that were released in a magazine. The cds themselves say "not for sale." The box is interesting, however, each cd contains one song only, the song that appears on the album. You are basically buying the whole album on 12 cds, 12 promo cds, for fives times the price.

So you Bjork collectors are curious as to what's on the Vespertine SINGLES Box Set (12 discs)? My first impression was that it was going to be a singles box set, compiling most of her singles from her ENTIRE career or all the singles from Vespertine. With that in mind, I did not hesitate to pre-order it. I received it this afternoon and to much disappointment, it is not what I had expected. It is a singles box set alright; it has 12 discs, each with a single track from Vespertine. And each disc comes in a little card sleeve with a picture of bjork on it. That is it- no colorful booklet or extra material. I do not see the point in having it when i can listen to all 12 brilliant Vespertine tracks on ONE disc.I love Bjork and all her material, but I expected a little more out of this release. I tried doing as much research as possible before its release and bjork.com, who usually is up to date on bjork releases, did not say much about it. So I took the chance, since she always does surprising stuff, but i guess not this time for me. If you're an insane collector of Bjork material, then go ahead and invest the money. Otherwise, I think you might be happier with the domestic release.
