As I was browsing around at Best Buy one day, I stumbled across this cd. I remembered hearing their song "Last One Standing" and didn't care for it but I took a chance. I was thinking if they become like Aaron Carter, starting when they're little then making smash hit albums ( I don't really like Aaron Carter) but I gave this cd a chance and I'm glad I did! I'll admit it, I wasn't expecting much for these girls but my expectations were wrong! 1) Celebrate: 3:20 - Grade: B+
This is a fun song and I made too much of it before I heard it. It was all of the girl's favorite song, it was the album's name and it was the first song. I expected something HUGE, but it's not that spectacular. They rap in this song and they're actually pretty good at rapping. The chorus is really fun and upbeat and so are the lyrics. A good song.
2) Last One Standing 3:29 - Grade: B+
This is their first single and the reason I almost didn't buy the album. They also rap in this song, and I didn't care for 11 year old girls rapping but the chorus is really fun and danceable and it's actually a really fun song to listen to. I listen to it a lot
3) Boy Next Door - 4:09- Grade: A-
Probably my second favorite song off the album. The only thing I don't like about it is that I thought since it was kind of a slow song, they wouldn't rap, they'd sing. It SOUNDS like they're singing, but they're rapping quietly and slowly. In the chorus they sing and the chorus is my favorite part. It's a typical song that a lot of people can relate to. The part where "Stevie" calls Brianna on the phone, the voice of Stevie sounds exactly like Aaron Carter did during the time he released his first and I thought it WAS a younger him!
4) Wake Up Call - 3:23 - Grade: B+
This song shows that the girls can sing. (Well in the chorus anyway) the lyrics are really well written. It's a really good song to listen to when you're cleaning your room, you kinda zone out of everything else except the music. It's a standout
5) Hey Now (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun) - 3:44 - Grade: B++
I almost gave this song an A- because they sing through the whole thing! Well almost, at the end the start rapping again, but after that they start singing again. I actually can't believe it's their voice! If it is they are extrodinary singers especially for their ages. It's also really catchy and.... fun! A DEFINITE standout
6) I'm Yours - 3:51 - Grade: C
This is not one of my favorites. Actually this is my least favorite song on the album. It's a slow song and it just isn't that great. It can sometimes be very catchy though. They sing all the way through this one too. I guess it's one of the best that shows their vocal abilites but just for a song? Nope. It's not as great as the other ones.
7) None Of Your Buisness - 3:05 - Grade: A+
This is my favorite song! It actually has some R&B in it. They sing very well in this. I wasn't expecting to like it because it had kind of a childish title but it's by far the best song on the album. They sing very mature for this song. It sounds like they're in their early/mid teens. It just blew my mind because I wasn't expecting something like this from them. But it just goes to show: don't ignore the tracks that are toward the back of the album. One of the bests part is when they go: "Stop - Asking - Questions" it's just great! you have to hear it!
8) I Love Your Smile - 2:56 - Grade: B-
It's not a very bad song, but it's not a very good song. When the song is over ask yourself: what part do you remember the most? And you'll say: "I Love Your Smile" it seems like they say that through the whole thing. But it's still a pretty good song. Not the best, but hey! It's not horrible.
9) I Kissed A Boy - 2:51 Grade - B+
A really good song. They have really good singing in this. It's really catchy. It's a slow head banger. The music is really fun and upbeat. A really good dance song. I guess I liked it as much as I did was because they sang AWESOME in it, but I didn't like it as much as I could have because it's more of a girl song rather than a boy song, but it's still a really good song for everybody to lisetn to.
10) Never Gonna Stop - 2:29 - A
Short song, but only because they sing really fast. It's one of the best songs and I wouldn't be surprised if it were a single. But like I said, it's a really fast song. But it's probably the best dance song and one of the BEST songs on the CD. It can get old after you've listened to it for a long time though. It also does get stuck in your head. And it's really, really hard to get out.
11) What I Like - 3:53 - Grade: A-
Here's another really good song. The chorus is really, really, catchy. It took me a long time to get it out of my head. They're telling people that although they're young they're not stupid and they "know what they like" this is one you DON'T want to skip over unless you don't like good pop music.
12) Cool It Now - 3:57 - Grade: B
Good song. Not great. It's not one to listen to over and over again, though. But it's still fun to listen to.
