    5 out of 5 stars AWESOME MUST-BUY CD!   December 23, 2002
9 out of 11 found this review helpful

I bought this album because I liked the hit song "Right Now" off "Now You See Inside." I heard SR-71 had a new album and I decided I'd give it a try...
    01. They All Fall Down-9/10... One of the best songs on the album... Varying styles in this song makes it unique... When the second part of the chorus is added this song is awesome!

    02. Tomorrow-10/10... Great song with very good lyrics... SR-71's 1st single off this album. One of my favorites.

    03. My World-8/10... Good song with pretty good lyrics... Nice chorus... It lost 2 points because the lyrics flow very slowly...

    04. Hello Hello-9/10... I like this song a lot, not the best, but very far from the worst... Good chorus...

    05. Truth-10/10... The music is good in the song, but it's the lyrics that gave this a 10. Great 9/11 song. God bless America.

    06. Goodbye-10/10... My favorite song on this CD. Great guitar... If you're going to download a song to check out this band, this is it.

    07. She Was Dead-10/10... One of the best songs on the CD because of the chorus. Very energetic.

    08. The Best is Yet to Come-9/10... Good slow song. Fast enough to keep me into it but not slow enough to get me out.

    09. Broken Handed-6/10... One of my least favorites, strange lyrics, but and OK song, only OK

    10. Lucky-9/10... I love this song, but the lyrics are wierd and thats why it lost points... Another energetic song.

    11. In My Mind-0/10... WAY too long... over 5 minutes, I've probably never listened past 2 minutes of this song... Easily the worst song on the CD.

    12. Non-Toxic-8/10... I've never heard the original of this song, but this version is pretty good... One of the worse songs on this CD, but it's still very good

5 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!   November 5, 2004

Absolutely gorgeous singing, acoustics, and lyrics. "My World", when I first heard it, actually made me cry. The lyrics are not just sloppy rhymes but carefully thought out and crafted songs.

    Also: RIP Jeff.

I got this CD after I heard Let it Whip from The New Guy soundtrack and I loved it, now I own both SR-71 CD's and am anxiously awaiting a follow up to them.

    5 out of 5 stars "Tomorrow"...great follow up!   March 22, 2003

I thought that this sophomore CD from SR-71 was awesome. SR-71 proves that to make a great 2nd CD you don't have to make a carbon copy of the first nor do you have to completely re-invent yourself as many bands unfortunately do. This album pretty much has all the elements of a CD that is radio-friendly yet still maintains a punk/metal credibility. There is everything from the standard songs about love lost ("My World" and "Hello Hello") to songs that carry social weight ("Truth", which is about Sept. 11).

What I love most about this album is that all 11 of the songs could easily be singles. When you listen to the average CD, you can very easily pick out the 4 or 5 songs you will hear played ad nauseam on the radio. Not the case with this one.

I give "Tomorrow" two thumbs up and five stars.

4 out of 5 stars Good CD..... BUT better is out there!   January 22, 2003

Actually this CD deserves only 3.5 stars, but since you can only use whole numbers I gave it a 4. On this album SR-71 sounds like a blend of Finch and Something Corporate minus the screaming of Finch and piano of something Corporate with a little punk thrown in on the songs "She was Dead" and "Lucky". This CD has its ups and downs and essentially it is built on a good framework with songs such as "Lucky" and "Tomorrow", but has only a mediocre filling such as songs "In My Mind" and "The Best Is Yet To Come". This band sounds much better on the uptempo songs whose lyrics don't drag on. They should stick to this upbeat style and pull away from the often boring sounds of some of the slower songs on this album. Lead singer Mitch Allan also needs to dust up on his vocals in the song "The Best is Yet To Come". Other than this song his voice fits in well with the song styles on the album.

Top 5 Songs For SR-71 "Tomorrow"

    5. Goodbye- The best slower song on this CD but the chorus's tempo pick-up makes the song great. 8/10

    4. Lucky- A nice pop/punk song with more meaningful noise then your average Blink 182 or NFG song. 8/10

    3. She Was Dead- Another cool pop/punk song with a unique intro and interlude plus an awesome chorus. 9/10

    2. They All Fall Down- Another unique song because of its style changes and great chorus. 9/10

    1. TOMORROW- An all around great song with an eerie effect that makes this song a perfect 10/10.

Because of the variety of styles on this album any rock fan should atleast 2 or 3 songs that they will enjoy
