5 out of 5 stars New is better than old!!!!!!!!!   February 6, 2003

I have been a fan of Charlotte Church for over two years, and this latest single is on top of all her works. Many people thing Charlotte is an opera singer, and snob her for not being "pure". However, even though she was classicaly trained, she is NOT an opera singer and never was. This new release is a break away from her previous classical songs, and has a refreshing sound. As a dance track, it has a strong beat and poppy undertones, but Charlotte's voice soars over it in her crystaline tones, and has simply outdone herself. I can't begin to say how fantastic, wonderful, beautiful and...... and COOL this song is. Buy it. You won't regret it.

5 out of 5 stars this is a great song, but...   May 9, 2003

This is a great song and deserves its release not only in UK (it's where this imported cd is from), but also in other countries. Due to UK cd rules (maximal permitted duration of a cd single is 20 minutes) many remixes that had been made, have never been released on cd (and are available on 12'' only). Marvelous Dj Tiësto's Magik Muzik remix is one of them. Let's hope it will be available when/if this song single is released on cd single in one more country (USA or Australia or Germany.....whichever).

5 out of 5 stars Vocal Trance: Best Music in The World Today.   October 10, 2007
    Ryan Johnson (USA)
Vocal Trance is IMO the best produced music in the world today. I have not had this much fun with music since the 1980s, when I was in high-school.

All the elements of KROQ's (106.7FM Pasedena) "New Wave" music is in this new genre. But Vocal Trance is a beefed up version of 80s synth, techno. It's matured, evolved by the hands of younger artists who grew up listening to 80s bands like Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Thomas Dobly, Tears for Fears, ABC, and Suisie and Banchees.

Vocal Trance has all their elements with world class female vocalists. It's not happening here in the U.S. But you might be shocked to know that artist's such as Charlotte Church, Sinéad O'Connor, Sarah McLachlan, and Jan Johnston have contributed to this growing movement.

If you've not heard this song, you're in for a treat. Charlotte lifts you up to the clouds and transport you far away.

2 out of 5 stars Not a Good Use of Talent   September 9, 2003

I bought this CD out of curiosity, knowing it would not be the type of song I'm used to hearing Charlotte sing. It's difficult for me to rate it because this is not my type of music. I think Charlotte deserves 5 stars for being brave enough to try something new, which is why I give this CD a very generous 2 stars. But I don't like this CD at all! The synthetic music drowns out her voice and the lyrics are dreadfully repetitive. This is a good example of why some pop artists get away with not being able to sing well.

If she is going to go pop, I'd much rather see her do Celine Dione type songs. This is not a good use of her extraordinary talent.

But hey, maybe I'm just too old to appreciate something like this.
