| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com If you came anywhere within earshot of country radio in 2002, you'll immediately recognize the lead cut on this soundtrack, Keith Urban's chart-topping "Somebody Like You," presented here in a pop remix that doesn't diminish the original's catchiness. The rest of this set is routine but well-selected romantic comedy fare: a couple of oldies ("You're So Vain," "Let's Stay Together"); modern rock standards by Sixpence None the Richer and Gin Blossoms; a George Thorogood track, undoubtedly for the ubiquitous rowdy bar scene. But the real treats here come out of left field, in the form of "Good Day," a peppy, Dave Matthews-style sing-along from Bay Area faves Luce, and Fisher's dreamy, trip-hop rendition of Nat "King" Cole's "L.O.V.E." Aside from two bland contributions by Canadian balladeer Chantal Kreviazak, the set of songs showcased on 10 Days deserves to hang out in the CD player much longer than that. --Kurt B. Reighley

Song in the promo? January 31, 2003 20 out of 31 found this review helpful
I was wondering, what's that song in the promo? It's definitely a cover of like an 80s song or something, a girl's singing it. Can anyone help me?
Great song! February 5, 2003 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
This is for the person wondering who sings the song in the promo. If it's the song that goes "hey now, hey now" then it's Sixpence None The Richer. It's called "Don't Dream It's Over". I actually don't believe this song is on the soundtrack, unfortunately. But usually the main promo song never makes the soundtrack for some reason. I still remember "Crush" by Jennifer Paige being the main promo song for "Simply Irresistible" yet that song was not on the soundtrack. I know I've gone on too long and this review is only help to that one person, probably.
I KNOW THE SONG February 3, 2003 11 out of 21 found this review helpful
dear writer from NY, I was looking for the Name of the song myself.I finally found it! It's called "Don't dream it's over" from "Crowded house". Here are the lyrics. I hope we were talking about the same song. There is freedom within, there is freedom without Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup There's a battle ahead, many battles are lost But you'll never see the end of the road While you're travelling with me Chorus Hey now, hey now Don't dream it's over Hey now, hey now When the world comes in They come, they come To build a wall between us We know they won't win Now I'm towing my car, there's a hole in the roof My possessions are causing me suspicion but there's no proof In the paper today tales of war and of waste But you turn right over to the T.V. page Hey now, hey now Don't dream it's over Hey now, hey now When the world comes in They come, they come To build a wall between us We know they won't win Now I'm walking again to the beat of a drum And I'm counting the steps to the door of your heart Only the shadows ahead barely clearing the roof Get to know the feeling of liberation and relief Hey now, hey now Don't dream it's over Hey now, hey now When the world comes in They come, they come To build a wall between us Don't ever let them win
Sixpence song February 6, 2003 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
The Sixpence None the Richer song heard in the promo is "Don't Dream It's Over", a cover version of the classic by Crowded House. Strangely enough, this song is NOT, repeat NOT, on the soundtrack; they used "Kiss Me" instead. "Don't Dream It's Over" can be found on the Sixpence album titled "Divine Discontent" and the original version is found on the self-titled album "Crowded House".
