Nelly and JT can 'Work It!' February 4, 2004 Lacy (central PA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm a fan of both Nelly and Justin Timberlake. Nelly appeared in *NSYNC's song 'Girlfriend' as well as the video, so when I heard the two of them were teaming up for another collaboration, I knew it would be awesome...and that it is. 'Work It' is one of those songs you can just groove to. The lyrics are great and the beat will have you moving the second you play it. JT's smooth voice-overs throughout the song add just the right amount of "flava" to the track. I can say nothing more but a job well done!
Sheesh... July 19, 2003 Anthony Rupert (Milwaukee, WI) 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
Sure, this song helped sell a few thousand shoes, but it's really not that appealing. Listen to the chorus: "Give me two pur (pair)/I need two pur/So I can get to stompin' in my Air Force Ones." (*sigh*) Maybe Nelly was trying to create another "My Adidas" or something. And another thing, there's nothing worse than when a wack rapper has his even wacker crew on a song, so that's another downfall. This song IS better than "Pimp Juice", but that's not hard to do.Anthony Rupert
