5 out of 5 stars Mad Bumpin' Tunes, Yo   January 9, 2004

It goes wittout sayin' that this movie was tight, aight. Ludacris' beats are about as phat as his 'fro was in the movie! There's almost no wack tunes on this, so you can bump it down the street without havin' to skip one track. Ahhh yeaaa!

4 out of 5 stars Throw Yo Hands Up In The Air...   September 29, 2003

This was a tight soundtrack that perfectly complimented the movie. Thumping tracks in the trunk meant to be played loud with some subs. I'll break down each song for you. Skip the interludes.

    1. Ludacris - Act A Fool - great crunk song. Very hype. 5/5

    2. Trick Daddy - Represent - This song has a great beat but Trick doesn't rip like he supposed to 4/5

    3. I-20 - Slum - Tight song with a moving beat...but I-20 is sorta wack... 4/5

    4. Tyrese - Pick Up Your Phone - would be tight except he sounds EXACTLY like R. Kelly. As a matter of fact if you played this for someone they would think R. Kelly had a new single out. Tyrese disappointed on this one with the carbon copy. 1/5

    5. Eightball - Hands In The Air - Eightball lays it down with this one, the beat is just great and strictly riding. Best song on the album. 5/5

    6. Chingy - Getting It - Chingy drops a tight song with a tight beat and flow. 4/5

    7. Shawnna - Block Reincarnated - It's just aight...not feeling the reggae part. 2.5/5

    8. Joe Budden - Pump It Up - Tight beat but Joe Budden is just wack. Plain & simple. 3/5

    9. Dead Prez - Hell Yeah - DP with a new song with a rock influence...it's straight no politics 3.5/5

    10. Jin - Peel Off - Jin from 106 & Park fame gets a chance to shine...it's decent 3/5

    11. Fat Joe - We Ridin - Fat Joe has kinda fell off but holds his own on this song. 4/5

    12. Lil Flip - Rollin On 20's - I don't like Lil Flip that much but boy is this song tight 5/5

    13. Dirtbag - F what a N. Say - It's a straight song from this newcomer but he won't make it 3.5/5

    14. Pitbull - Oye - Another decent song...not wack not tight... 3/5

    15. K'Jon - Miami - again another above average song, this time from a singer...but a lil too much R.Kelly influence in this one...still tight 4/5

The 2 Fast 2 Furious Soundtrack is probably the best soundtrack to drop this year. None of the songs are just plain out wack (Tyrese got a 1 for lack of creativity ) and the cd is listenable straight through so if you liked the music in the movie go ahead and get the soundtrack as well.

5 out of 5 stars One of the better movie soundtracks I've heard   December 23, 2004

Loved the movie so figured the soundtrack would be worth a pickup and was it ever

With Ludacris, R.Kelly, K'Jon (miami is a great song that movie watchers only caught a glimpse of in the movie)

If you haven't picked this up, make it a priority on your next stop through the music store :)

    peace,

    -Travis S.

5 out of 5 stars Jin is a TIGHT MC!!   August 13, 2003

This is definitely one of the hottest albums of the summer. I especially like the joint "Peel off" by newcomer artist Jin da MC. He's the new recruit to the Ruff Ryders empire and I expect him to be the next "big thing". Other really quality tracks on this album are the Ludacris song "Act a Fool", and the songs by Dead Prez and Trick Daddy. Get this album for sure!!
