With the lukewarm reaction to Faith Hill's CRY album, the fact that it was too pop and not country enough, they decided to rework one of the songs on the album. "You're Still Here" is given a country treatment, rather than the string arrangements and orchestral feel of the original on the album. So already you would want this single if you're a fan, to have this version of the song which is used in the beautiful video. However, there is also the b-side track "Shadows" which is AMAZING. It's a slow burning ballad, full of passion and feeling. The song is about wanting someone you love to be vulnerable and to expose themselves and their secrets. Excellent song, it could have fit well on the album too.
Great mix & bside July 6, 2003 J. M. Zuurbier (Canada) Faith Hill's third single from CRY is the ballad "You're Still Here". I'll admit, I don't think this was the wisest choice for a single, as it's certainly not the best track from CRY. "Stronger", "I Think I Will", "Back To You", "Baby You Belong" or "If This Is The End" would have made excellent singles. Nevertheless, "You're Still Here", appears for an attempt for Faith to make amends with country radio, since the song is a remixed version featuring a steel guitar and slight reworking to suit country radio's format. It's a shame, she just wants her fans to hear her music, but the original version of "You're Still Here" would not get any airplay with country radio, it was simply too AC. If having the country remix was not incentive enough to buy this single, the CRY b-side "Shadows" is well worth the price of admission. "Shadows" is a jazzy kind of downtempo ballad that is beautiful, but it's clear why it wouldn't have fit with the album.

This is the best CD Faith has had out in a long time, it's back to Country instead of what ever she has been singing.Five stars is good for this one.I quit listening to her but this is a good one and I will have to reconider listening to her sing if she continues with this kind of music.
