3 out of 5 stars Great for collector's, others may pass   October 15, 2003

Being a huge Iron Maiden fan, I couldn't wait to get the first single off their forth-coming album Dance Of Death. To tell you the truth, I was not real big on Wildest Dreams when I first heard it. I guess I just got myself so psyched up about it expecting some monumental song, that I just set myself up for disappointment. After a while, I grew to really enjoy the song. It's a rather simplistic song for Maiden, and actually is very reminisent of material off their first two albums. Wildest Dreams is very much like song Running Free in subject matter. Overall, I learned to like this song and its very radio friendly. The reason I got this Import Disc from Britian is because of the B-Side tracks. Hey, I'm a Maiden collector, and I have to have EVERY one of their songs. The first B-Side is Pass The Jam. It's a humorus track that definatly shows off Maiden's lighter side, much like their other B-sides Sherriff of Huddersfield, Black Bart Blues, and Nodding Donkey Blues. Sadly, Pass The Jam isn't near as good as those others I mentioned. Again it has some funny parts, but it is rather long and can get boring. This song is only for the true Maiden collector. The second B-Side is a so-called "Orchestral Version" of Blood Brothers. I was REALLY disappointed by this track because there is hardly ANY diffence from the original version. This disc is great for the collector, but others are just good buying the album Dance of Death instead. One other differnce on this CD is the intro to Wildest Dreams. The album version has the band counting 1..2..1..2..3..4, but that is cut on on the single version here. Nothing major, just for those of you who are interested.

I am big fan of Iron. but I can't stand simplicity of first single from Dance Of Death. To my liking, it's one of the worst track out there! But I bought this single for so called orchestral mix of Blood Brothers. And now I can say just one thing - is this some f***g joke? This is the same thing that on Brave New World!!! They cheating fans! And previously urealeased track sucks. Definetly worthless thing.

I didn't listen a song like this since long time. My ears cleaned. But other songs extremely bad. Wildest dreams is great. Same sound, same voice and same soul. Long live rock'n roll.
