I heard this song on the radio, and was just like, "I HAVE to get this record." The US release has less mixes than the import singles, but it has the core mixes (although, there are two more mixes on the US vinyl single that are not on this single). You have the standard radio version, a nice extended version which gives you a few more moments of bliss, and the final "dead or alive" mix, which is Dannii's vocals over the ORIGINAL 12" mix of You Spin Me Round from back in the day. Although the song SOUNDS like "Spin Me" in its original form, there's something about this novel idea that just doesn't work for me. I love the dead or alive 12", I love the Dannii song, but superimposed on each other, they both lose their flavor. Not to mention there's no credit given for sampling dead or alive...which I guess doesn't matter, since Dannii is Kylie's sister, and Kylie worked with Stock Aitken Waterman, who produced Dead or Alive...

Although there is no denying that Dannii has the same vocal style as her sister Kylie, this track will invade you. The very fabric of these beats and programming will enter you and never leave. Be warned: THERE is no cure for this song. The intro intrigues, the verse leaves you breathless and the chorus has you in wonderland. The hooks here are sharp and the production is superb.
