A strong follow-up June 24, 2009 A Fan (VA) A strong follow-up to Elvis 30 # 1 hits. It obviously is not as good as that collection, but it is still a great collection. It chronicles all phases of his career, from rock-a-billy pioneer to pop crooner and everything in between. Included in this set are the classic song that started his career "That's All Right", his first song to reach the top of a national chart "I Forgot To Remember To Forget " which topped the US Country Singles chart in 1955, and a number 1 single that was left off of the Elv1s 30 Number 1 Hits CD, "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You". It also contains some of my favorite Elvis songs such as "Kentucky Rain", "Little Sister", the moving "If I Can Dream", and his excellent cover of "Blue Suede Shoes". It even has a few less-than-stellar songs, like Rock-A-Hulla, from his movie days just to be complete I guess. It is a testament to Elvis' talent that he has become THE pop icon of the 20th century despite mis-management, poor career moves, questionable song selection, and even depression, drug addiction, and a premature death.
Better cover than the american one October 12, 2003 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
That's the reason why I gave it a 4 stars, because otherwise, we are being scammed to buy songs we've already got by the dozen, except for that Roustabout thing... Not worth it to buy only oe song. A Single should do. But they wouldnt make as much money, would they? The point is: if it's not a better Canadian cover or a better Japanese sound, the american version always stinks! get this one if you really have that much money to waste... or Let me know how to get in touch with you if you have donations to make...
