5 out of 5 stars Jessica Simpson, Irresistible (Import CD Single)   July 31, 2001
Jessica is back and better than ever! I own this Disc, which is an Australian release. And it simply rocks! All the remixes are great, and the collab with Lil Bow Bow is original and unmatached! The tracks are as follows; 1. Irresistible (album version) This is what your hear on the radio, video, and the version on the album, you know it, no need to explain. 2. Irresistible (So So Def Remix featuring Lil Bow Bow) This is the Best Remix! It is also the most publicised. The mix was made into a seperate video, and even gained some good radio play. 3. Irresistible (Riprock 'N' Alex G. Remix Deluxe) This remix is really different, it contains a very different sound and takes "Irresistible" to a whole new level. The beat is hype and is all around a good mix. 4. Irresistible (Hex Hector Club Mix) This is the second best remix on the disc. We all know Hex as the legendary Grammy award winning "remixer", for making hit mixes as such stars as J.Lo, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, and many more!! This is a awesome cd that you should pick up here, for it is also very rare and includes a wonderful cover image!!!

2 out of 5 stars The Exact Opposite   October 3, 2001

The first single from overblown baby diva Jessica Simpson's similarly titled sophomore effort bows to all the trends of the current radio landscape. While the song isn't bad by a longshot, it's far from the best song on her album(try 'Hot Like Fire' or 'A Little Bit), and the So-So Def Remix actually detracts from the original's appeal(it's actually laughable)--she needs to quit trying for street cred and focus on finding some good songs to distinguish her sound. Also disappointing is the Hex Hector remix--usually highly reliable, this ranks among his worst and most uninspiring reworkings to date. All in all, a wise purchase only for die-hard fans.

5 out of 5 stars Good song for a teen singer   October 30, 2003
Actually I own the promo version of this single so I know only the first two tracks. The song "Irresistible" is a good song with catchy rhythm, it might be not the best song in the world but I haven't expected too much from Jessica so I found it surprisingly nice. The ghetto style of the remix doesn't suit Jessica and I guess she just wanted to be trendy when she has done it, but So So Def remixes are always good.
