5 out of 5 stars Great CD AARON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   March 14, 2004

Awesome. Here are my ratings, ten the best, 0 the worst.

    1. Aaron's Party (come get it)--Fun. This is really funny and I like it. 9

    2. I Want Candy--Young Aaron at his best. Another fun one, but better than Aaron's Party. 10+!

    3. That's How I Beat Shaq--So-so. The intro music is really annoying, but for kids 6 or 7, it's good. 7 1/2

    4. Oh Aaron--I have mixed feelings about this. This is the funniest, cutest, and most innocent that you will get in pop, but No Secrets is abominable on the chorus! 9

    5. Not Too Young, Not Too Old--Perfect song for ages 11-14. His rapping is smooth, perfect. 10

    6. I'm All About You--Yes, fans! Aaron sings ballads, too! And beautiful ones. THIS ONE ROCKS!!! 10+++

    7. Leave It Up To Me--It's a lot like No. 5, so I like it, but the lyrics are a bit arrogant, like "Mom & Dad, they're getting on my nerves..." But good. 9

    8. Another Earthquake--Good AARON!!! This is alright. 8 1/2

    9. To All The Girls--One of my favorites. THAT IS SAYING A LOT!!!! Beautiful song. 10+++

    10. Summertime--I don't really like the Baha Men, except for "Who Let The Dogs Out." But they make it interesting. 7 1/2

    11. Do You Remember--Beautiful, Aaron. Luv this 1. 10

    12. America A O--BEST PATRIOTIC SONG THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!! THIS ROCKS!!! 10+++

    13. She Wants Me--The lyrics at the beginning are funny, but I don't get the rest of the song. 8

    14. One Better--ANOTHER FAVORITE!! THIS IS NO DOUBT THE BEST!!! 10+++++++++

    15. My Shorty--I like it. 8 1/2

    16. (bonus remix)--It's a remix of my most recent favorite. Luv this 1 2. THIS ROCKS!!! 10+++++++++

5 out of 5 stars MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!   January 3, 2004

Aaron Carter's Most Requested Hits is perfect and needed for any Aaron Carter fan. It has his biggest hits (which helps for the few who only have a few of his cds)plus three new songs. She Wants Me (featuring Nick Carter) is one song. It was featured with the game Twister Dance Moves. I love the song as well as the other songs One Better (Aaron performed this on the Macy's Thanksgiving day Parade)and My Shorty. Great CD!!

5 out of 5 stars Great Collection   December 8, 2003

This is a great sampling of Aaron Carter's recordings on Jive Records. I have been a fan of Aaron ever since I first heard the song "Aaron's Party" on the "Now 5" compilation. Many of the best songs from his previous three CDs are included, along with four new tracks. There are two versions of "One Better". Track #14 features a piano and string accompanyment which allows us to hear Aaron's voice in the forefront with minimal electronic processing. The hidden track #16 has a heavier accompanyment. The bass and rhythm are more predominant, with additional guitar and keyboard embellishments. The two versions sound quite different and I enjoy both. Track #13 is the Aaron and Nick Carter duet "She Wants Me" from the "Twister Moves" game. It is a playful exchange between two sound-alike brothers fighting over the same girl. Track #15 is "My Shorty". There are some strange popping sounds at the beginning, presumably to simulate the sound of a phonograph record. Aaron's vocal is a fast staccato with several background singers delivering the line "My Shorty" in harmony. About two minutes into the song it sounds like Aaron is singing "My Shorty" into a bullhorn. This track is quite complicated from a production standpoint. The lyrics are quite a tongue-twister and Aaron delivers them articulately. I understand this song was recorded by another artist in the past. It would be interesting to compare the two versions. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I gave this CD five stars based solely on its merit, not taking his other factors into account. There was supposed to be a bonus DVD included with this CD, based on information posted on Aaron's official website back in October 2003. Many of his fans were disappointed that the DVD was not included and that the record company had forgotten to inform the website operators that the DVD would not be part of the package.

5 out of 5 stars Enjoy it! Take it from someone who's not a kid   September 14, 2004

If you're tired of the angry noise on the radio and just want to take a break with some energetic teen pop, you might enjoy this CD.

Some of the people who gave this album bad reviews really have to lighten up. Yes, he was handled to be a star from the age of 8, but so what? Aaron Carter and his songwriters have given him a respectable array of good clean songs that listeners can run on the treadmill to (which is what I bought this upbeat pop album for). His song "Summertime" is a great transition song for a talented singer/rapper who wants to break out of his kiddie-pop phase.

But listening to the kiddie-pop that came before it, some of it isn't half bad. So what if it's not Dylan - not everything has to be. Sometimes ya gotta lighten up.

The songwriters have created a persona - A.C. is a kid who wants attention, spins tall tales, is known for making up great stories and boasting of concert tickets and parties - but he just wants to keep people happy. And you know what? His music does that.

For every emo musician singing about pain and suicide, what's so wrong with a kid daydreaming of beating Shaq, or thanking his fans in "To All the Girls" or reveling in his perfect position in "Not Too Young, Not Too Old"? They're fun songs. Fun, get it? The kid may have a pretty face, but it's not easy to rap and dance the way he does - hopefully his handlers will be smart enough to figure out a good way for him to continue to use his talents.

    Lighten up, people!
