Music the fans can enjoy? December 4, 2003 Aaron Musselman (Marshall, MI) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I must say, I first heard Atomic Kitten less than a year ago with "You Are" and have been hooked ever since. And now, with thier newest album, "Ladies Night" I am certainly impressed. The band stayed true to themselves with more original, upbeat, and enjoyable songs like "Always Be My Baby" and "Somebody Like You". And the added remake of "Ladies Night" is in a league of it's own.But with a sticker on the back saying "For copy protection, this CD incorporates copy protection technology. This CD may not be playable in certain devices." I would think this was for the artists protection. But I put it in the stereo in my car (an Alpine head unit, less than a year old) and it wouldn't play. Only after I put it in and took it out at least five or six times did it actually begin to play. This random, playing and not playing, continued even after it played for the first time. I think others should be aware of this. If you want to buy a CD you can listen to in any CD player, be warned. Otherwise, it's another great addition to anyones Atomic Kitten collection. My rating is four of five stars, the fifth is for when I can listen to it where I want, when I want.
Grown Up Kittens September 17, 2005 DivingIntheBlue (United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I discovered Atomic Kitten a few years ago having watched an episode of Top Of the Pops and fell in love with one of their songs called The Last Goodbye. Only recently have I gone back and discovered the rest of their material and Ladies Night being the last album the Kittens made just before their hiatus from the music business. If the Kittens don't return as a group, Ladies Night serves as a great swan song for the girls. Compared to the two other albums released by Atomic Kitten, Ladies Night is a fresh and mature departure. All members contribute to writing most of the tracks and each get equal singing duties. Songs like "Don't Let Me Down" & "Everything Goes Around" show how much the girls have grown and tap into what almost every person has felt at one time or another over failed relationships and lost love. "Believer" and "I Won't Be There" are also gems. Of course, the Kittens wouldn't be the Kittens without a few disco pop tunes like the title track "Ladies Night" featuring Kool & The Gang and a classic pop tune "Be With You". Overall, this album is a classic pop record that won't date itself. The girls should really be proud of themselves this go round. Hopefully this isn't the last of Atomic Kitten. Seeing how far they've come and just how talented they are shows how much promise these girls have and what a waste of talent it would be if they didn't make another record together.

I been a fan of Atomic Kitten for a year now, ever since I heard "It's OK" I was hooked and constantly keeping track of them. I recently bought "Ladies Night" on my trip to Paris and I haven't stopped listening yet. You won't skip a song with their innovative disco-pop sound. All I can say is that the British pop scene will never be the same again. Brittania rule the waves!
