5 out of 5 stars A great album capturing (most of) Kylie's greatest material!   January 11, 2005

This features all of Kylie's 'Pwl' hits, not like the dire , recent, phoney ULTIMATE KYLIE, as well as her 'deconstruction' hits. This does not feature any of her 'Parlophone' work (a good thing, trust me!). It even features her Japanese number 1 hit, TURN IT INTO LOVE, and the USA top 40 hit IT'S NO SECRET, which - unknown to most people - reached number 4 in Japan.

Every track here is at least very good. The only bad point to make is that it does not feature her club hit KEEP ON PUMPIN' IT, or GBI. Though I suppose that is forgiveable, since this is a hits compilation. Both failed top 40 in UK chart.

5 out of 5 stars Better than Greatest Hits 87-97 and Ultimate Kylie!   July 11, 2005

Out of both Greatest Hits 87-97 and Ultimate Kylie, this CD has the best tracklisting, although it may not have a 3rd disc of Parlophone singles (which are on Ultimate Kylie) this CD is pretty accurate. It includes the right single mixes including the Original Australian Version of Locomotion (Worldwide got The Loco-Motion, a remixed re-recorded version of the Australian Locomotion) and this CD contains the 3 singles that all the other Greatest Hits manage to leave off: Turn It Into Love, It's No Secret and Cowboy Style (Radio Edit). Although this album would have been complete if it had the following missing singles: Keep On Pumpin' It (Angelic Edit) and German Bold Italic (GBI) (Radio Edit), it still receives 5 stars because it's the closest thing we'll ever get to a complete Greatest Hits until perhaps 2007, which will mark Kylie's 20th year as a recording artist superstar, who of course IS better than Madonna and is the true Queen of Pop.

5 out of 5 stars Definitive Kylie Collection   April 22, 2004
    Muddwacker (Hazelton, CO United States)
It took several tries but someone finally got it right. This collection of hits is by far the most accurate. Almost every single is here. It even includes the Japanese #1 "Turn it into love", and the US Top 40 single "It's no secret" The only way they could have made this more complete would have been to have included Kylie's duet with Towa Tei on the single "GBI"
The collection begins with Kylie's first recording of "The Loco-motion" (NOT the S/A/W version from 1987's "Kylie" album) and ends with "The real thing" from the motion picture soundtrack to her film "Sample People". It is such a delight to finally have a complete collection that can be played from start to finish. Listening to the discs you'll immediately notice her progression as an artist. By the end you'll only wonder why the US is finally starting to recognize what is surely the heir to Madonna's throne as Queen.
