Don't purchase anything from T.U.G again! October 18, 2004 focusingcollegestudent (Memphis, TN) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Chris Stokes I see is still trying to cash in on B2K's success. Oh, well, but I know I didn't like it. They haven't even been out that long to have enough greatest hits. Chris Stokes needs to stop producing artists and throw them away when he's done with them. I advice you to keep your money close to your side people.
An okay CD, but B2K still has nothin' on New Edition December 24, 2004 Fish Cheeks (In Your Dreams) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Was anyone surprised when B2K broke up? I wasn't. I knew that they wouldn't last long anyway, especially with Omarion acting like a diva and all. I thought that you had to have been out for a certain number of years or have put out a certain number of albums in order to have a "Greatest Hits" album, but I guess the rules have changed. Might as well make as much money as you can before it's totally over. I was never a huge fan of B2K, but they have some songs I like that are conveniently on this 'Greatest Hits' CD. Out of the ten songs on the CD, my favorites are: Gots Ta Be, Bump That, What a Girl Wants, Why I Love You, Girlfriend, and Uh Huh. I only paid $2.50 for the CD, so I consider it a good investment. I wish Omarion good luck going solo. Maybe J-Boog, Lil Fizz, and Razz B can form their own trio like BBD in the early 1990s.
great album, could've been greater though! April 8, 2004 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
b2k is a great group, but they haven't released nearly enough material to be releasing an album like this. the material on this cd only comes from their first two albums. this fact hurts the album because there's only 10 songs on it. this collection is pretty much a collection of their singles with some other album cuts put on it. i don't think it was necessary to put girlfriend on there twice. songs that i think may have been better to add on would be i'm not finished, understanding, boys 4 life, what you get, tease, and one kiss.
Greatest Hits? Are you kidding me? July 2, 2005 Owned (Wouldn't you like to know?) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Maybe I'm wrong...wait, no, I'm definately not wrong. Typically a greatest hits CD showcases many years of songwriting and performing after several standard albums have been released. A greatest hits CD serves two purposes: 1.) Allow fans to own the best songs the band has inspired, convienently located on a single (or double) CD, without having to purchase every album the band has recorded (because usually it is compiled of about 12-15 songs from 6-10 different albums). 2.) A last ditch attempt (other than maybe a reunion tour a few years later) to make some cash before they totally disband. And then there's B2K, with their first commercial album released in 2000. Yea, that's right, 2000...5 years ago. People, that is not very long ago. And forget time frame. They're basing this CD on what, only 3 CD's? Give me a break. Very, very few bands have enough good music to compile a greatest hits collection after only 3 albums, and let me tell you, B2K is not one of them. The decision to release this CD actually offends me in some ways. It takes very self-absorbed, greedy individuals to think that they are good enough to release a greatest hits this early in their career. If you really like B2K, and are reading this review, then it is apparent you have access to the internet. Use that privelage to get LimeWire, and download the songs. I will be be very disappointed if the group actually makes money from this CD.
Just Ok&way too early for a greatest Hits July 17, 2005 mistermaxxx@yahoo.com (usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
aside from the R.kelly material I wasn't feeling B2K too much on a whole."what a Girl Wants" is a smooth Joint."Bump,Bump,Bump" was a cool joint.Girlfriend was a cool cut as well. the rest of the cuts are Hit&Miss at best.vocally they never quite developed fully to me.
