There may be dysfunction to spare on the Disney Channel show, but you won't find a shred of it on Songs from the Hit TV Series. Here is a CD as well-rounded as a multi-generational reunion shindig: Aretha Franklin, the O'Jays, Lou Rawls, and Smokey Robinson step up for the old school, providing a neat opportunity to introduce kids to the timeless joys of songs like "Respect." Chic sends a shout-out to Mom's in-the-middle generation with "Good Times," and Alicia Keys, India.Arie, Solange featuring Destiny's Child, Lil' Romeo, and others reach R&B tastemakers of today with a rap-tinged hit list anybody will want to hop to. Whether the cartoon Proud clan has the same soul or staying power as this soundtrack remains to be seen, but count on families who play it together staying together--at least until the last song is happily spun. -Tammy La Gorce

Basically I bought this CD primarly for the song "peanut butter jelly time" a crazy silly song that just seams to grow on you, because it's just that crazy and silly. Has a couple of other good songs on it.

I got this for the one song and it was worth every penny. The song is so funny! People who hear the song for the first time burst out laughing. I love this CD.

I purchased the Proud Family CD for my 7 year old daughter and she Loves It!! I am so happy that I ordered this CD because it brings such joy to my little girl and I must admit that I enjoy listening to it myself. I highly recommend this CD!

It's a pretty cool soundtrack. The soundtrack features songs from the hit Disney tv series The Proud Family. My favorite song is Respect. My sister loves Enjoy Yourself. I'm warning you about the song Peanut Butter Jelly Time. For me it's kind of weird. Anyway I don't know what to say about the CD really, you'll just have to buy it and see.
P.S. Sorry I'm no help to you about whether to buy the cd or not. My sister thinks it rocks,my mom thinks it stinks, my dad thinks it's cool,and what do I think? It's better if you watch the Proud Family, although you may recognize some songs you've heard before.

I'm thinking of getting this,I'm looking at Borders,That's where I got the first Kim Possible Cd.I love the Proud Family,and the theme song is very catchy. Good Times is one of my favorite songs,not the Rap song,by Rapper's Delight or We Are Family. I also like You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine. I hated it when Lou Rawls had to play his darn self,They should have a barn to all people Never have people play themselves on TV/Cartoon/Movie again. Ban it forever.
