Album Description "A Cinderella Story" collects some of the biggest performers in pop, but the highlights are certainly the four new Hilary Duff tracks (a cover of the Go Go's "Our Lips Are Sealed," "Crash World," "The Girl Can Rock" and "Now You Know." (The disc also includes "Anywhere But Here," a track from Duff's triple-platinum bow, "Metamorphosis.") Other performances on "A Cinderella Story" include two songs from Radio Disney star Jesse McCartney (star of the WB's "Summerland"), and tracks from Goo Goo Dolls ("Sympathy"), Jimmy Eat World ("Hear You Me") and MxPx ("First Day of the Rest of Our Lives").

Missing Something... December 27, 2004 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I thought this soundtrack was good, as so as the movie. My favorites were: Best day of My Life; Jesse McCartney (I have been a big fan of Jesse since he was in Dream Street...even now, he's a much more mature singer) Sympathy; Goo Goo Dolls (This song was awesome! I don't really like the Goo Goo Dolls, but this song was their best) Girl Can Rock; Hilary Duff (This song was on DisneyChannel for quite some time, but it sounded much clearer on this cd.) Beautiful Soul; Jesse McCartney (I love this song! I do have to say I like Best day of my Life better, but this song was Jesse's first "chart" song, so you have to give him props.) I'll Be; Edwin McCane (Jeez this song is old! I thought I would never hear this song on another cd again! I do think it is a very good song, and I personally do not care if it is old or not!) The Song that is missing is probably the downfall of this cd. The song that is missing is the song from the football game called "Hear you Me" by Jimmy Eat World. I have no idea why Disney did not put this song on (it might have been because of the select time it was being played, you know, when Austin and Sam were kissing). I am going to answer a question from "Uncle Scooter" and the answer is, yes, the song when Sam was showing off her dress was on her called Best Day of My Life, and of course it was different, because you only heard like 20 seconds of the song in the movie! Overall, I think that was a great Cd! I reccomend this cd to fans of Hilary Duff (Because basiclly every song on here is by her) and fans of pop.
Awesome! November 7, 2005 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
The soundtrack was awesome! I saw the movie and loved it! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they didn't have Hear you me (the song during the football game) by Jimmy eat world. That was my favorite song in the whole movie and I was disapointed that it wasn't on the soundtrack. Overall, the cd had some good songs and you should get it if you like the movie. It rocked!
Song that attracted me to Soundtrack wasn't included! November 3, 2005 J. Hamtak (NV) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I was interested in this soundtrack because of the song during the football game, "Hear You Me." If you like this song go for "Jimmy Eat World." Without knowing it I already had this song on that CD- I knew it sounded familiar. I am not really a Hilary Duff fan (especially since she got those scary teeth!), so the other songs don't interest me. "Our Lips are Sealed" is pretty good though, but I am not going to get a CD just for one song.
A cinderella story August 28, 2005 Sar 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
An ok CD, but as others have said the CD lacks the songs that make the movie what it is e.g that song at the football game: Hear you me. There is also too much Hilary Duff, i mean I like her and she has a good voice, but the songs that were included were only in like two seconds of the film, they could have made a much better CD with the songs in the film and it's not my cup of tea, but if you loved Hilary's album, this is the soundtrack for you!
Quite a decent soundtrack... October 21, 2004 Sweet Catastrophe (Minnesota) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The selections for this movie were quite excellent. I love this soundtrack. The songs are diverse and compliment the movie, meaning they were pretty much perfect for the scenes that they were played with. The best song would have to be "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain, which was a brilliant selection for the movie. The only reason this album doesn't recieve five stars is because it was missing a song that I felt was vital to the movie. The song that was played during the football game, "Hear You Me" by Jimmy Eat World was my favorite song from the movie. I was very disappointed to see that it wasn't included. Also, "Sympathy" was slightly edited, but not to the point where it was too annoying. It was a Disney movie, and they included the line in the movie, so I thought it was odd that they deleted it on the soundtrack, "I'll Be" was also edited, to the point where it did irritate me, they cut out the words "love suicide" and it just hurt the flow of such a beautiful song. It probably won't bother you if you were not familiar with the song, but for those of us that are, it was a noticable change. All in all I really liked the ablum, there could have been a few tweaks but other than that I would recommend it to anyone.
