4 out of 5 stars a REAL Linkin Park fan   September 1, 2004

Omg, I am so mad I have to say something & straighten this "kid" out. What a waste of space. I can't believe that Amazon would let a complete idiot write a completely idiotic review that makes no sense because he obviously has no idea what he's talking about. I don't even know where to start.....

First of all "kid" - get it right - the name of the band is spelled "Linkin Park" and there is no "Mr. Park", that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Second, it is not one person - Mike does the rapping & Chester does the vocals (yelling as you call it, idiot).

The biggest thing is that you have no idea what the order of which their CDs came out & you have it completely backwards which just boggles the mind. Their first public album was Hybrid Theory then came Reanimation which was the remixes of Hybrid Theory (which,if anyone even read the friggin names off both of the CDs,would realize) then came Meteora & last was Live in Texas. If you wanted to review the album, Meteora, you should have gone there - this is the single of Breaking the Habit from that album, duh. And Live in Texas is just a live album with songs from all their albums but duh, live. It also has a DVD of them performing it onstage in, duh, Texas which is really great because of their energy. But this is only for real LP fans (not like "a kid") because it has no new songs as I stated. Even as a kid, I knew better than to speak badly about something if I had no knowledge of it whatsoever.

Sorry for taking up so much space, here is my review, finally: as for this product, it's nice that they include the video for Breaking the Habit also but then why get this when for just a dollar more, you can get the Manga book + Breaking the Habit video deal? Of course you get the video but you ALSO get the Manga book that has illustrations of the awesomely animated video so I can't wait to get it. I was just comparing prices first. I saw it in Best Buy (and most places) for $13.99 awhile ago but then just the other day I saw it in Sam Goody for $11.99 or something like that so I'll probably go back there.

5 out of 5 stars breaking the habit   October 24, 2005

Linkin Park has had a great career so far: 5 CDs, 4 of which are on my top 5 list of CDs (their sophomore effort, "Reanimation (Dig), just plain sucked [see my review for further information]). Their best CD so far is their third CD, "Meteora", and "Breaking the Habit" is the best song off the CD. Combining Chester's smooth vocals with lyrics rivaling all their previous songs, "Breaking the Habit" is just plain awesome. And guess what? It's on here, along with a live version of "Crawling" and the "Breaking the Habit" music video.
(P.S. If you ever get the opportunity to watch the second "Breaking the Habit" music video, the one with the 3+ minutes of anime footage, watch it. That's how I found out about the song in the first place.)
    Overall rating: LP's finest 100/10

    5 out of 5 stars Great!   January 17, 2005

This is by far the best linkin park song yet. It is full of soul and heart, if you know the history of the band you will know the added meaning of this song. The video is out standing and visually brilleant, Joe has showed us once again that he will deliver the best videos, and Chester has also showed us that his song writting skills and his voice are a fource to be reconned with.

    5 out of 5 stars Shows LP's versatility   July 28, 2004

As Linkin Park's last single off their amazing sophmore album, Meteora, Breaking The Habit is an amazing choice for a single. This song is soft, heartfelt, and beautiful. The lyrics have caused controversy as to what they mean for over a year, and make people think. Even though this song is soft, I challenge people to then listen to Lmore of LP's music and realize how versitile they really are. Linkin Park's music can be hard rock to the soft techo melody in this song, and their lyrics can be simply stated or dizzying. These are just some of the reasons Linkin Park is my favorite band and I encourage others not to judge them by one song or what haters may say, but by listening to more of their music and finding out if LP can help you like its helped thousands of fans that are in the fanclub with me.

5 out of 5 stars Great Single   June 22, 2004

Probably the best single since In The End, the song does seem a little more creative, with live strings and no rap, and pretty good writing to go along, the is definitely more interesting then In The End, going to cartoon and not live, it's really well done. I think even people that hate Linkin Park, will like something about this single.
