| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com From the 60's onward, UK producer Gerry Anderson built a unique sci-fi TV mini-empire based on "Supermarionation," his unique blend of futuristic production design and marionette "actors" that have since inspired successful ad campaigns, a loving spoof from the creators of South Park and this big-screen, CGI 'n' live actor adaptation. Contemporary film score workhorse Hans Zimmer pays loving tribute to original Anderson musical collaborator Barry Gray, anchoring his update with a faithful cover of the late British composer's original series theme, then concocting a whole slate of new cues that build on the original show's brightly energetic, future-industrial soundtrack ethos. Indeed, the electro-orchestral fusion that Zimmer helped pioneer smartly reinforces that sensibility on muscular new cues like "International Rescue," "TB-3 Takeoff" and "F.A.B." Busted's marketing-oriented modern rock work-up of "Thunderbirds Are GO!" maintains the score's energy, even if it has precious little to do with the original's music -- or charm. --Jerry McCulley

| Customer Reviews: Not Bad August 1, 2004 Terry Watkins (Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Although this film seems to be bombing more than Catwoman , the music is not bad.
Hans Zimmer did some good work here and the Busted Theme is kinda catchy. It takes awhile to understand what they are saying though. The music kinda muffles out the vocals.
The soundtrack is worth getting.
Too bad no one will care.
Hans Zimmer is go ! September 28, 2004 Hilok (Quebec , Canada) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I really believe that this soundtrack deserves a better film !
The "up to date" rework on the original t-birds theme & the new themes being introduced for various situation during the movie are really great.
Look out for tracks #2 (Internationnal rescue) & #16 (F.A.B.), as you'll keep listening to those for quite a while, the techno orchestral arrangements are just too cool !
The title performed by "BUSTED" would be as good, if only I could catch the words they're singing ???
An excellent soundtrack; no matter about the movie. August 29, 2004 Shirley A. Burton (Montgomery, AL USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was brave enough to see Thunderbirds twice, and I honestly enjoyed it. The soundtrack is excellent, too, as it sounds beautiful. My favorite two tracks are the Busted song, and track #5--"You Need to Grow Up." Now, some people criticize the music, saying this isn't Barry Gray's style. So what? No one on this planet could ever match the style of Gray's original series music. Hans Zimmer does a nice job of giving the movie its own style of music, particularly in track #2, when International Rescue gets introduced. In two tracks, the opening theme and #17, there is the sense of the original series' music, which means Zimmer has obviously given some homage to Gray. I definitely recommend this for anyone who loves an orchestra.
My son loved this July 31, 2006 Rosana Betancourt (Belle Chasse, LA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My son loves this so much! He is a huge Thunderbirds fan, so is my husband. He likes to listen to the music and repeats the movie dialog as he listen. I like it myself because its instrumental.
A great piece of music March 1, 2005 E. L. (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This music is some of the best I have heard in quite a while. Sure the movie may have flopped, but I still liked it, primarily on the strength of the music Zimmer created for it. Just look at what Zimmer did for Gladiator (a great movie on its own, but Best Picture material with Zimmer's score).
Busted's theme can be hard to understand for those not used to their brand of British singing and I can see why it might take a few close listenings to be able to fully understand them, but it's fun to listen to nonetheless.
This is simply music at its finest: light, hyponotic, and intriguing.
