    4 out of 5 stars Hold on - isn't this a Lighthouse Family record?   September 23, 2005

A very decent first release for Tunde! It is still very much Lighthouse Family-ish and if I had just heard one of these songs on the radio (which would never have happened anyway) before I got the album, I would never had known this was Tunde on his own.

My favourite song on here is "Great Romantic". Very very catchy indeed! Some of the other better songs on here are "Passing The Hours", "Letting Me Down Gently" and "I Have Never Walked Alone" - which suspiciously sounds very much like "You Always Want What You Haven't Got" from Lighthouse Family's "Whatever Gets You Through The Day" album. And how anyone could write such beautiful lyrics about a mundane topic like "Anaesthetic" surely goes to prove that Tunde is doing something right!

However, that said, I still don't really like "Our History" and "I Can't Make This World Disappear". But hey, eight quality songs out of ten isn't that bad - and not like those two are really that unbearable either.

If you're a Lighthouse Family fan or just want a collection of easy listening songs for those days you need to unwind, get this album.

4 out of 5 stars Tunde lights up his solo career   January 11, 2005

Somehow the last Lighthouse Family studio album seemed disappointing: the sound and formula was right, but it appeared tired in comparison to its predecessors. Tunde's solo effort however, goes along way to recapture the original spirit and flavour of what made the Lighthouse Family so successful. Beautifully crafted songs, particularly Letting Me Down Gently and the unusually entitled but haunting Anaesthetic, run throughout. Others such as Our History and I have Never Walked Alone echo more successful Lighthouse Family Days. An excellent solo debut - which begs the question: Why the criminal lack of promotional airplay in the UK?

5 out of 5 stars If you liked Lighthouse Family you will like it   December 19, 2007

There's not much more to say than that! It is very mellow. I loved most of Lighthouse Family's CDs and this sounds like more by them as the lead singer is Tunde.

5 out of 5 stars Tunde... "Greater Maturity"   June 26, 2008
    E. Jones
As a fan of the LightHouse Family, this solo CD clearly demonstrates Tunde past the cross-roads of his talent and purpose towards life. The essence of his experiences and maturity clearly captivates and shows the course of how his path and existence has changed...

All the best for you Tunde.

May destiny in your native Nigeria, as well as marriage to Ms. Nigeria (and family) prove to be a greater link to your successes.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent first solo CD   June 20, 2008

Sounds just like Lighthouse Family. I never understood why Lighthouse Family, with Tunde as the lead singer, did not make it big in the USA. In England & Africa, and somewhat through the rest of Europe they are a household name. This solo CD is excellent and if you liked Lighthouse Family you will surely like this CD. Tunde is my favorite Nigerian artist, much better and more consistent than Seal and Sade.
