 Fun, poppy club song July 30, 2005

This song's distinctive, infectious beat made it a huge hit worldwide. This song is a great follow up to her first hit, "Goodies" featuring Petey Pablo. The lyrics aren't especially clever or thought provoking: "Rock it, don't Stop it, everybody get on the floor, crank the party up we about to get it on, let me see you 1,2 step..." but that's ok because it's a song to dance, not philosophize to! Jazze Pha's introduction and Missy Elliot's verse at the end blend in nicely. By the way, it's funny that so many people here are calling Ciara a one hit wonder. She's had three hit singles so far and is featured on Missy Elliot's latest hit, "Lose Control." I think she definitely has a future in the fickle music industry, partly because she's Missy's protégé and she works with tons of huge names such as Dr. Dre and Ludacris.

People that gave one star RELAX. This song is a dance song, that's all it is. Its not gonna save the world or start a revolution. Its just a song you can dance to, really. My god. Anyways, hot song.. we all know how it sounds, if u dont like it, dont buy it. Simple as a dimple aint it?

shes a one-hit-wonder on the charts because of her untalentness, so she had to make this single for the whitey kiddies so they think its hip! her career is over! ciara, your an official 1-hit-wonder! now since "oh" flopped like the album did, we can indeed celelbrate that this baby star is GONE!

It was kind of hard to review this one at that time. This edit of my first review acknowledges now she is no one hit wonder. On one side, GOODIES and 1-2 Step filled the airwaves, but they also seemed to be aimed at the same audience as Christina Milan's (-2 spelling) DIP IT LOW and others. The two songs are definitely catchy, and the remixes are welcome but not stellar. But now OH filkls the airwaves, so she is becoming major.
She is a fine looking lady and the videos show she ain't no Disney Girl. If she was, I would be at the Magic Kingdom tomorrow.
I do play these often, and they are surely top 5 material.
Bottom line, this is a great single with very good remixes. If you do not like remixes, the album or down loading (legally of course) the songs would be a better deal financially.
Good songs. a 5 for the songs themselves but a 3 for the price. 3 stars mostly due to price and different ways to access these songs.

The album version 1,2 step is a great song. The Forb's E-flop club mix is a dance club mix. Not a hip hop club mix. The Forb's mix is just as great if not better than the album version. It's a great song to dance or vibe to in the car, skating rink (for those unnderage minors who are still to young to hit the clubs), the bar, the club, or even at raves. I can definitely see this Forb's E-flop mix playing on the dance radio, at the bars, the clubs (gay or straight), and at raves. The Goodies Bimbo Jones club mix is the same version from the import maxi single "Goodies". This is also a great mix to dance to at all kinds of nightclubs except at raves.
