For a Good Time, Call DEBS... March 29, 2005 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
A fun and playful soundtrack that captures the vibe of the film and makes a good listen in it's own right. Chock full of 80s classics from The Cure, New Order, and Erasure to name a few the disc makes a nice party playlist for the iPOD. But more so it's the Goldfrapp songs and the wildly unexpected and anthemic "Into The Morning" by The Weekend that make this album a must have. Actually, "Into The Morning" by The Weekend in itself is reason enough to get the album... For a good time call, DEBS...
The soundtrack makes the movie... June 22, 2005 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
After watching D.E.B.S. the first time, I was a bit in-between as far as what I thought of the movie as a whole. After re-watching it, however, and paying close attention to the music throughout, I have to say the songs that Robinson/whoever picked made the movie what it is.
There's an 80's trio of hits that couldn't have been picked better with New Order's "Temptation", Erasure's "A Little Respect" and finally "The Love Cats" by the Cure. These three songs themselves are worth buying the soundtrack.
"Telling you Now" by Jessy Moss is a rare find and adds a softer side to the soundtrack as a whole. You'd never know she was a Hip-hop/rapper from Aussie-land. She's a pleasant mixture of Portishead meets pop and definitely another great reason to purchase this CD.
"Girls" by Death in Vegas is also included, which made me extremely happy as it was the last song in the movie that tied everything together. Usually when I find a great song in a movie, it is never included on the soundtrack. Why this is, I have no idea, but virtually every song used in D.E.B.S. is on this CD. It's a great complilation of diverse genres and should satisfy anyone who loves great music.
Honestly, this soundtrack comes second (in my top 20 best soundtracks of all time) only to Empire Records. It's rare you find a CD where you're into all of the songs versus just one or two. This soundtrack is a rare treat. :)
Angela Robinson a woman with the ears of a genius! June 14, 2005 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
After drawing D.E.B.S, turning it into a short film, then making it a box office success as a feature film, Angela Robinson brings us the soundtrack to the movie. Soundtracks often only have 2-3 tracks which you've been desperate to get hold of, but the D.E.B.S. soundtrack is that and a whole lot more. As previously mentioned, the music plays an important role in the movie, and these songs have clearly and cleverly been handpicked. All tracks will remind you of the movie. If you haven't seen the movie you needn't worry - though I'd recommend it - the soundtrack is an album by itself, mixing old (well old, that makes me old!) and new. Seriously great tunes, you'll wanna hear over and over and over and over (you get the idea). While this last sentence may become dull... the tracks to this album will NOT! Candy for the ears - Enjoy!

I really wasn't sure what to expect from from the cd, but, it's great! Allot of 80's/ new age music. I would highly recommend this cd...
GREAT SOUNDTRACK! March 23, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Most of the songs are pretty hard to find in a regular cd stores. Even if you didn't like the movie (I thought the movie was great!), you'll like the soundtrack.
