Aaron Carter's Best Yet May 31, 2005 Antoine D. Reid (Durham, NC United States) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I've never been a fan of Aaron Carter or his music. I'm still not sold on him, but this song is his best yet. I heard it and saw the video on MTV Hits and was hooked. It's catchy, modern, and would appeal to the club-goers as well as those who are wishing to get a fix of good pop music. This Single comes with the original cut of the song and three remixes. The only thing really remixed about the songs is the beat; the vocals are cut up and enhanced and such, but they remain mostly the same. The "DJ Pezz Urban Mix" sounds, in my opinion, like the first. The beat is switched up in some places, taken out in others, so the voice and chorus sort of floats in silence. It's interesting, good, but doesn't take the song anywhere new. The "DJ Roonie G Mix" is the best in my opinion. The vocals are still the same but the beat is drastically different. It sounds like a white-version of Usher's "Yeah" beat wise. It's fun, definately will have you moving around, even if you may feel like you're too old to be dancing to Aaron Carter. The "Double J Dancehall Remix" is okay. To me, the beat and the vocals and all really don't mix well together. It sounds more like a demo than a finished product. Still, it's listenable. Regardless of perhaps some okay remixes, the song itself is great. Who knows what the rest of the CD will sound like but this song is definately worth having in its single form. The only thing that could have made it better was if the music video would have been attatched as an enhanced-feature. Oh well, it's still one of the best songs to come out during this summer thus far.
